Read through emails, responded to a user having some trouble viewing the discussion boards on one of our online courses. Spent the morning editing and working with TRIPSCY web files, adding new people to their list of providers. Finished up one of the web forms for them. Collected a list of development pages and sent that to Marie. Worked on getting the RAM ready to return to DMS, all that needs to happen now is shipping it back. Finished up the module 101 section in the binder.

Worked on some emails, and replied to those that needed it. Got Louise another projector since the one she had didn't seem to be working. Spent the morning working on putting together a binder for the Moodle modules. Had a good fight with the printer, finally gave up and requested the TRIPSCY/AIM key code from Marie so I could use those printers instead.

Had missed the bus in the morning. Drove myself up and then had to visit the transportation/parking services to get a day pass. Also got some information on a normal parking pass. Seems like it would be worth it to me.

Finished up the AIM 101 Moodle Module and requested some more tasks from Marie. Did some basic web work on the TRIPSCY UVM website. Started looking into the process of form development and getting it nicely sent in an email too Marie and also possibly displaying it to the end-user before it's submitted.

Helped Louise get one of her users online...apparently the computer is either too old to work with the wireless network or the WiFi does not reach to this end of the building. Got that all fixed, she's hard-lined into the network now.

Added a link to the The View article on the UDL resources website.

Worked on a few TRIPSCY things, posting and adding a few things to the website. Met with Marie. Moved the 24" iMac from my office into hers. Got it hooked up and briefly showed her VMWare. Then we did some iPhone stuff, got her email accounts setup on there and told her how to get it all synced up. Got VMWare Fusion installed on Tammy Loomis' MacBook along with Windows XP. Did a data migration from my Macbook onto the new MacBook Pro. Installed software updates. Spent pretty much the rest of the day working on the AIM 101 Moodle module. It's pretty much done. Printed out the module site and also the module document and stuck them in a binder for Marie.

Spent a big portion of the day researching how to properly upgrade the Moodle install and then actually upgrading it. All seemed to have gone well except for the authentication module wasn't carried over from the old install. Didn't figure that out until the next day. Spent the rest of the day learning how to create a course and then worked on adding a new course (AIM 101) into the Moodle website.

Worked on some web stuff, updated the iTeam website with some new information. Gathered some materials and paperwork for the meeting in the afternoon. Had a meeting with Laurie from 1pm to the end of the day. Discussed IT stuff and procedures and possible plans and things to do at CDCI.

Spent the morning working on some TRIPSCY web stuff. Updated a few pages. Marie was going to sent me a module (I think) to upload to the Moodle but I didn't get it. Got Adobe Acrobat Professional 9 installed on Leslie's computer. We finally found the physical disk of which I've made a copy of a stored the original in a locked file cabinet.

Helped Cristal with some issue on the TRIPSY site. A user reported that they couldn't see the contact page and they could not fill out and submit the form to join TRIPSCY. I verified that both of those things work and then let Cristal know.

I finished up the web outline for the UDL web site and also my work log for them and sent those to Cristal.

Spent most of the day moving the computer inventory from a FileMaker database into a spreadsheet. This will be more universally usable between us here at the Center and also on the tech group wiki. I finally got information on Brian's computer!!

Finished up yesterdays work log. Then input it into the UDL work form and sent that off to Cristal. Continued looking to the upgrade process for the TRIPSCY Moodle software.

Helped Susan Edelman with some Skype/PC/Google Docs issues. Resolved most issues. Helped Susan Ryan with an email problem, but couldn't solve it as I couldn't see the issue.

Started upgrading the Moodle installed. Made a server backup before I touched anything. This included all web files, emails, and MySQL database...just incase anything went wrong during the upgrade. Spent the rest of the afternoon working on upgrading the Moodle install.

Also helped Susan Edelman with some Skype and Google Docs issues.

Reviewed emails. Moved some TODOs to today. Started working on an iMac for Louise's office for when she had work study people. Just made sure Office was installed along with FileMaker Pro 9. Ran some software updates on Susan Ryan's machine and had a brief chat with her.

Pulled apart the two iMacs that didn't have firewire. I did take a bit longer then I thought I would but it was only because I had to find a take-apart guide for the really old iMac. Being that the drives are very small in size, I think I will destroy them rather then let them take up space and probably never be used. Put the Macs back together so they could be easily recycled. Added to my list that I need to have Renee "order" a recycling pick-up. Will send that too her when she gets back next week.

Wrote up a descriptive email for the CDCI list. Had that sent out and then responded to people who emailed me back.

Web edits for Michael and Mike. Finished up with that stuff for the day.

Went through my emails and added any items that were todo into Things. Started looking into getting Kensington locks for the desktop machines here. I think I've found one that will fit our needs. Helped Kathleen and Mike get logged onto the network.

Worked on looking through the various TRIPSCY/Moodle pages. Just spent a bunch of time looking on the Moodle forums for various Moodle information and references. Spent time learning about how the modules work and how the system works. Still trying to figure out how to make my own module and have it make sense. Still am not quite sure how the "plug-ins" work or the built-in features.

Looked into customizing the Joomla layout so that it looks a bit more like the TRIPSY.ORG main site. I think it should be possible. I just need ot understand a bit better how theming works in Joomla.

Reviewed the permissions on the TRIPSCY message boards to make sure they were properly setup. Made sure the message/warning showed up on the forums so that people were aware that they should review what they're posting before it's posted (so they don't post personal information).

Moved some machines from the closet into my office and from my office into the closet. Also moved the projectors and laptops into my locked grey cabinet.

Spoke with Francesca about getting her iMac repaired and which machine she would use in the meantime. She'll be using the MacBook Pro. Apparently Kathleen also needs to get her iMac repaired as it seems ot have a bad video card (she gets video anomolies and distortion). I believe it is a known issue with those early aluminum iMacs though. Hers will go in for repair once Francesca's comes back.
