Read through my emails. Talked with Louise about how she could go about implementing forms, PDFs, and web forms and possibly using FileMaker Server to do so. Talked with Francesca about her computer and it locking up and in turn making an Excel file she was working on Read-Only. We ended up doing a hard reboot on her laptop and then replacing the Excel file on the SHARED drive with a local copy. Fixed the issue.

Added Cristal to the TRIPSCY analytics account so she can pull the numbers. Made sure the Analytics code was in place. Talked a bit more with Louise about having her use web forms with FileMaker as the backend, would make her life a lot easier. It's just a matter of implementing it.

Learned how the SharePoint wiki works and how to edit pages and such. Uploaded the spreadsheet of the CDCI computer inventory to the Tech Team Wiki.

Updated the Continence website with some changes.

Added a link to the Emergency Plan page on CDCI.

Responded to emails to clean out my Inbox.

Worked on updating some web pages. Spent a bunch of time reviewing my emails and adding new tasks into Things. Spent some time learning how to better write accessible code. Talked a bit with Susan Edelman about Adobe Connect Pro and then spent the afternoon looking more into it.

Had a morning meeting with Susan, Laurie and Michaella. Spent much of the day finishing up the HTML newsletter. Sent it out to a few people and webmail services to see how it would displays. It seems to be okay! :)

Worked on my work log for the past week. Sent UDLs log to Cristal also. Read through emails and logged any tasks that there might have been.

Spent a few hours working on the HTML newsletter. It's actually almost done except for some graphics that I will need to have Michaella do.

Actually spent much of the day working on the HTML newsletter.

Helped Susan Ryan get her laptop connected to the new HP printer. Made sure it worked (printed a few test pages). Setup her laptop in the conference room, connected it to the projector and made sure it was also connected to the Internet.

Updated my work log from the past week or so. Read emails and logged some new tasks into Things. Started putting together an order form so we can order that new laptop for myself ASAP. I can't/shouldn't really be using a personal machine here.

Did some work on the HTML newsletter. Continued learning about the best ways to make one through various articles and videos.

Setup the new printer on Susan's desk. Couldn't do much else since her laptop wasn't there. Worked on some web thing. Continued looking into HTML newsletters and pulling some apart to see how they work. Helped Leslie update her machine with an Office 2008 patch. Had to be evacuated for about an hour so due to some chemical smell issues. After that, I just worked on getting this order together as I need to order a new computer ASAP!

Did emails, put new tasks into Things. Met with Susan Ryan about the meeting I had with Laurie. Started researching and putting together a list of items we need to buy. Put together a flow chart for Susan Ryan about the CDCI structure. Continued working on a list and budget for the items we need to purchase. Had a look in the basement to see if there was a large cabinet where I could store computers rather then having to buy a new one.

Researched some Verizon rates and plans for a possible new phone. Put together a document in Word outlining these things.

Had a few quick meetings with Susan Ryan to go over these new purchases. Will have to wait until Laurie gets back into the office so I can get her opinion about buying a refurbished unit. Spent the rest of the afternoon working on a budget and figuring out the pricing of the phone.

Responded to a few emails. Spent some of the morning repairing an authentication/login issue related to yesterdays Moodle upgrade. I've seemed to have fixed the issue as users who could not login are now able too. Did a bit of research on how UVM is or will be using Google Docs, apparently it's in a very infant testing stage. I think we can still use it though, just not the way UVM is hooking into the GDocs system, just normally.

Worked up updating my work logs to make sure they were recent. Did a little bit of web work for I-Team but the rest still needs to be finished.

Spent the rest of the afternoon (1:45pm to 4:40pm) in a meeting with Laurie and also Brent. Talked about many things, new cell phone for Susan, computer security, getting me a new laptop and some hard drives, figuring out the shared folder for Jesse.

Also talked about some web stuff.

Reviewed emails from this weekend and yesterday. Finished up researching a new digital camera and then put together and order for that and a memory card for it. Looked into when the people were supposed to be coming to pick up these old computers for recycling. Moved the rest of them into my office except for the old big fax machine.

Updated my work calendar and got that posted outside my door.

Spent the rest of the day researching developing HTML newsletters and then starting picking apart a newsletter that my friend does so I could see how it's done and how I could use his as sort of a reference or skeleton for the CDCI newsletter.

Reviewed emails and responded to those that needed it. Did some UDL web work since I spent an hour + of my time with Susan in a meeting on a UDL day.

Helped Marie Christine-Potvin with some FileMaker issues and located a database. Net-registered an iMac in the "TRIPSCY office".

Setup the Canon printers for Renee and made sure they were working. Sent some emails to Laurie (about securing machines and locking them to desks) and Kathleen about getting more copies of the Adobe Acrobat software. Started looking at coding up a template for the CDCI HTML newsletters.

Helped Leslie get Adobe Reader installed, hoping that will fix her issue of viewing PDFs in FireFox, but I have a feeling it's a site/FireFox issue and am not sure if Adobe Reader will fix the issue.

Continue looking into web accessibility and code and also designing HTML newsletters. Will start pulling apart a known good newletters to see if I can learn from their code.

Reviewed emails and responded to those that needed it. Finished up setting up Leslie's computer. Made sure she had Office 2008 which it did and then set up her own account on the machine.

Went to drop of Francesca's computer at the Depot. I stayed theer a bit while they did some basic diagnostics on the machine. Unfortunately none of the issues she was experiencing were showing up, so they said they would keep the machine and keep trying things out, but they couldn't really officially check it in for anything since nothing was happening. They noted that the machine will need to be picked up on Friday or before or they will have to charge a storage fee. Walked back to Mann Hall from the Depot.

Setup printers on the MacBook Pro Francesca is using in the meantime. Posted some stuff to the web for Michael Giangreco. Taught Leslie the basics of Mac OS X. Got FireFox, Thunderbird, and Oracle installed and setup for her. Showed her which printers were which...

Finished up adding some web stuff for Michael. Started looking at some of the screen reading softwares for OS X. Nick sent along a link that included one. I also tried out the built in stuff on OS X.

Reviewed some other changes for Michael Giangreco and put them live on his sites. Just fixing some yearly stuff mainly.
