Part 1. Meetings.and other things

He knew this was bold. Even for him but he couldn't stop himself from saying hello to a pretty lady. Even while he was visiting Marlow.

Her hair was very pretty. It was what caught his attention. She was throwing a ball for two very friendly dogs when he approached her.

"Aridis, right," he greets knowing better than to startle someone stronger than him.

"Aye," she looks over her shoulder and smiles. "Thou art Quinn Braddock, aye?"

He nods and finds himself smiling easily along with her. Aridis is friendly naturally. It is hard for her to be unfriendly. Only the Celts have ever truly given her reason to pause but even then she is more likely to flirt than pick up a sword.

And this time it isn't Quinn who makes the first move. Aridis smiles like a warrior who has their favorite weapon. "Quinn, wouldst thou care for a drink?"

Oh would he. "I'd love to," he finds his accent coming out a little strong. Oh he likes this one.

They have tumbled into bed together over a dozen times. Quinn isn't surprised that Aridis is in control most of the time. He finds her very happy giggling enchanting.

Early one morning he wakes up with a start. Aridis is completely nude without a stitch of clothing on. She is watching him with curious eyes.

"Hmmm?" Aridis leans over him. She places a finge over his lips.

"I must say this or I might not ever say it, Quinn. Please. Be silent now," she asks. She has never asked him to be quite before. Not even during one of their wild marathon sessions. "I... I love thee. I hath never truly loved before. I am afraid. You and I art different. You art mortal. And I.... And I. Love. I art afraid. For I wilst not get to grow old with thee. Wilst I will get to see thee gain dignity and look wise with age. Wilst I will look much the same. You wilst leave me long before I am meant to face my destiny."

She sniffs because she is about to mourn him right here. Quinn doesn't let her do that. He hugs her as tightly as he can. "I don't care, love. As far as I'm concerned, we have all the time in the world."

	Their son has dark blond hair and bright blue eyes. He makes Aridis smile and laugh and enjoys charming all the pretty girls he meets much like Quinn. He is Ketill Quinnson and he loves both of his parents a great deal. (Reply to this)(Parent)
