RPG Challenge - Chris
Ze Rules:

1. Truth or Dare: Post a scene idea as a dare. It can be in-canon, or it can be AU. You can challenge any of mine with any of yours. I can take the dare, or turn it down, by offering an honest in character answer to any question you want to ask. If I take the dare, you can set up the scene and we'll play through it.

2. Putting the 'R' in RP: So most of the time, rp comes down to casual social or big mod-run plots. This is neither, so let's spice it up. Your dare-scene challenge must involve either A. gratuitous violence, B. gratuitous nudity (I'm willing to play out sex scenes if they make sense, or hint at them) C. gratuitous crack. - because these aren't going through moderation, they can't really change anything, no new powers, no big item acquisitions, but gratuitous hero battles or villain of the week-ish stuff should be okay. Multiple choices from A, B and C are also possible.

3. Pay it Forward: As usual, if you take this challenge and post a scene idea, you also need to put this up in one of your journals, and offer some or all of yours up for scene challenges. Now the tricky part - if I take a dare, I will temp at least one of the NPCs needed, if any are. I will not require you to NPC for me, no. Instead, you must temp at least one NPC in any dares you take.
And, why yes, this is an effort to get people to temp occasional npcs for others in order to encourage RP. You have an easy out in any scenes you're truly not comfortable with - you can always take 'truth', and I may, not every scene will fit my characters or my fancy... but the idea is still to encourage rp, get people doing scenes and playing with characters, whether AU or our canon, and doing the little things to help get scenes going.

My characters potentially up for this:

Will Freeman/Shazam
Michael Choi/Firestorm
Jonathan McIntyre/The Machinist (superhero name pending)
Bob Grayson/Marvel Boy-The Uranian

"I wanted to be sure to wear it. It's very lovely," Ash said feeling a little shy. She was also trying to not hide behind her hair.

She offers him her arm. "Shall we, then?"

Well, he hasn't been able to say he's taken royalty out to a museum. This is a new experience. And having his arm out for her to take makes it all the more special.

"We should. We have a lot of museum to see."

This was also so very new for her. She was starting to see the appeal of boys noticing her. This one though was the one she currently preferred.

"Okay. I didn't look anything up. I wanted you to be able to surprise me." She shyly smiles. "You should know crowds make me nervous so I may have to take advantage of your arm if I get too shy... I hope that doesn't bother you."

"No, it doesn't. If that's the case, I may have to steer us towards some crowds," Michael said with a smile.

"Okay then, this first exhibit should be modern art. Modern art makes a lot of use of basic symbols and designs and uses them in...well, some pretty weird ways. Now if you look over here..."

That gets a blink then a soft laugh from Ash. She doesn't mind being teased.

She has a few questions about what they're looking at. Mostly because it just look weird to her. But mostly she listens to him and a few people notice their talking and seem a little amused by what looks like a slightly older teenager taking a slightly younger one on their first date.

Which they are without all of the other complicated details.

Whether it is the appearance of someone older dating someone younger or that this young couple appears to be on a date at a museum, Michael really doesn't care. He's having a good time walking around the museum using the ingenious ramping style to take his time while showing the art.

He was enjoying the time he spent with the lovely young lady, even if there was nagging at the back of his mind pointing out the similarities between her and Briana.

But Ash wasn't like her at all. She was selfless, a hero, shyer than anyone he has met possibly, and a princess.

She wasn't a normal person in any sense of the word. But she was asking so many questions and obviously having fun with him at the museum. She did like some of the things she saw on display too. Things that were very bright and bold that didn't remind her of Atlantis.

As they ascended higher and higher, Michael pushed his doubts and pessimism. At the very least, he deserved a nice night at a greatly built museum, so he was going to focus on the here and now.

When they got to the top of the spiral, Michael motioned up to the top of the building and the design the glass made.

"Cool, isn't it?"

Ash is staring up at it. Her mouth hangs open and she tilts her head around several times.

"It's amazing!" Then blushes a little. "Forgive me for saying so but it reminds me of the spirals of a shell."

"Hey, go with what you're familiar with," Michael said with a chuckle. "I don't know if that's what Frank Lloyd Wright was going for but if the shoe fits..."

Michael looked about himself, admiring the architecture itself a bit before turning his appreciative gaze to Ash.

"Glad to know you're enjoying yourself, Ash."

"Possibly not but I still love how it looks," Ashe agreed.

She looked back at him. She looked much less nervous and shy than she had been earlier. "I love it. Thank you. I've never been anywhere like this.... I should show you what Atlantis is really like. The library would really fascinate you on a design level, I think."

"I bet it would be interesting. After all, with aquatic architecture, I'm sure the designers would have to accommodate three dimensions in terms of travel rather than just the standard two we're use to on the surface."

"Hey, I turn into a flaming head person. If you told me that when I graduated high school I would have thought them as crazy as Briana an-" Michael stops his sentence mid thought, annoyance setting in.

Deep down, his pessimism laughs at his expense. He had brought it up. On his own. Without even thinking about it.

"Which is the most shocking thing I have ever seen, need I remind you," Ash pointed out trying to not giggle.

Well, that was a pleasant surprise.

"I appreciate that, Ash. I really do. Say, are you getting hungry? We've been here a whi-"

Michael had reached for his phone, but when he saw the time he was a fair bit surprised. They had been there talking for almost five hours.

"Whoa."

"It was really fun though."

"Um. I'm pretty familiar with surface food. I'm not picky, but I am a vegetarian so anything that's good and not... you know. I'm really not that fussy. I'm just happy we're both having fun." She was a little nervous that he would treat it as weird like Cait had when she mentioned she didn't eat meat.

Damn it. That cut off most of the places he had hoped to take her to.

"Hmmm. That presents a problem. I don't know all that many vegetarian places around here. I'm not a native, so I don't know much outside of here and the touristy places."
