I know you don't see it that way, but when was the last time we sat and talked about something other than my problems? I'm as self-centered as they come, but this is too much even for me! We should do something next time we have a free period. And I want to tell him, if only to stop wondering about what-ifs, but... it's too soon. I don't want to deal with his rejection, again.

Yes. His idea, too. I tried to say no, but apparently that word isn't in my vocabulary when it comes to Mikey.
