BUON NATALE!
As some of you may have noticed, my beautiful face has disappeared from campus as of late. It is disappointing, I know, but I have come back to my motherland for the holidays- the country as charming and beautiful as me, Italy! I dazzled my church with my amazing voice at Midnight Mass as always (they were waiting for me, you know) and the presepio was set up fabulously. It was as if Jesus was being born again right there!

It is a good thing I did not stay in America, like last year. When it comes to December, Americans are simply VICIOUS. Where is the spirit of the holidays? Not to mention those creepy, ugly men in red suits who lurk on street corners. In Italy, we do not have this fat, cookie-munching "Santy Klaus" man. We have sweet old La Befana! Of course, I am too old for such things now, but I still remember the wonderful gifts she left in my stockings. Oh, my youthful years!

My brothers came home for the holidays as well, and we are collaborating to "throw out the old year"! Mother has been wanting to get rid of that old wardrobe for quite some time now (and the window in the attic seems wide enough), so we got the go ahead. Wish me luck!
