Sarah had been in Gotham for far too long. She had done everything asked of her to the best of her ability too and it still was not enough. After her last meeting with the person she was forced to work for she was hit with a deep wave of depression and helplessness.

Which is why she hadn't gone out to scare up some trouble. Instead she was well into her second bottle of wine and still taking a bubble bath trying to feel better. It really wasn't helping. She just kept getting more and more blue feeling the longer she sat there in the still hot water.

Slowly she stretches and drains off some water so she can not only add more hot water to the tub but she needed to rinse her hair again.

It was because of that she din't detect someone finding their way into the darkened safe house.

He had been looking away while handing her the towel, but when she stood up he'd assumed...well he assumed she'd be covered. So when he gets a flash of a very nice view he instantly turns away again, trying to act as if he hadn't seen anything.

What? It was one thing to stare or tease when she wanted him to, it was quite another to do so when she was kind of drunk. Definitely not gentlemanly.

Still not looking her in the eye he answers, "Later, I don't want you falling out of the tub and hurting yourself." Although she was right, he was bleeding more than he realized. But her safety took priority. He didn't trust someone who just had almost two bottles of wine to safely get out of the bathroom.

She hadn't thought he would see that. The towel gets carefully wrapped around her body to cover her modesty as she tries to dry off quickly.

"Thanks," she says as she decides what she should do. "I've been in here for a long time and might not be so steady on my.... my feet."

She holds out her hand. "Help me out here? I can put my robe on one I'm not in the water."

She's also thinking she wants more food.

She's also a little drunk.

	Now he does look at her and shoots her an amused smile, "That was my plan." He offers her his free hand to steady her as she climbs out, then hands her the robe. She was rather cute when drunk he had to admit. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The image of her in the bath, then in only a towel (that really didn't cover everthing so well) was awfully distracting. He has to keep telling himself to not look and think of other things.

"It's not important," he says while clenching his fist to hide the injury. He was a tad embarassed that he'd lost his head for a moment and that was the result, and he certainly didn't want her fussing over him. Not when she was the one that needed help.

"But you need cheering up and after we can work on getting you out of the mob. Come on," he takes her arm to help her out, still not trusting her balance. Now to figure out how to make her feel better...

	It probably didn't help that there had been a few lingering bubbles from the water clinging to different spots on her skin. "That's..." She tries to not let herself react too much. No it really doesn't help, especially since being trained by a detective means he has to notice everything. Which isn't always the best thing around her, too distracting.

"Let's see if you've stocked the fridge of this place decently." He'd seen some of her other safehouses on his mission to find as many as possible and some were very poorly stocked. Which just meant she didn't use the place but still.

"Don't trip Foxy," he teases.

While waiting he finds a tissue and discretely shoves it into his injured fist so he doesn't make a mess around her place. Late night Gotham pizza? One of the great things about Gotham was how much food was still available at this time of night.

He can't help but smile more, it was fun getting her to blush. Especially given all the teasing she did.

"You know I don't play fair." Tilting his head he asks her again, "Come on Foxy. What's one of your colourful ideas that'll be really...out there? Who knows...maybe it won't be so extreme." It'd be interesting to see how she viewed him. And he's well aware getting her to admit any of these things sober would be much more difficult.

It's hard to keep the smile off his face. Sure he had thoughts, lots of them, about her in that way, but it was nice to see she thought of him in the same way.

"Really? That doesn't seem so out there. If anything it's reasonable..." Feeling a little bolder he decides to see if he can get anything else out of her. "Here I thought it was something more...creative. You're holding back on me here," he teases.

He isn't quite sure why he's pushing this considering how he'd been conflicted about everything but...she needed cheering up and he was far too curious for his own good. Hey, it wasn't everyday that he could get her to admit these things, so yes he'd try and seize the opportunity.

	He chuckles, not entirely getting what she means, "Well most people can't say they've had experience on rooftops." She was far too good a tease for him to think that she'd never at all.
