There's a knock at the door. Robbie scoops the cat up into his arms and bolts out the window and down the fire escape. Suddenly, a crash signals that whomever it was knocking has decided to come in by force. Robbie knows the Captain caught sight of his hair through the window and speeds his passage down the ladder, clutching the cat one-handed against his chest. He hears a yell from above and hits the ground running, cutting through next door's yard to get back onto the street. The patrol car outside his building has the sirens and lights on, and Ramses partner jumps out of the car, holding Robbie at gunpoint.

"Don't shoot!" he yells, still holding the cat. "She's a cool cat!"

Ramses pops out the front door and Robbie ducks for cover, and then...

He wakes up.

Head spinning and stomach churning, he rolls out of bed and stumbles toward the bathroom. He's never letting Will cook again.
