The First Step on the Path of Destiny
Svalin Thorsdottir stood outside the massive entrance to Lord Odin's (otherwise known as Grandfather) hall. She had been grooming Tryggvi when she had received the summons to appear before Lord Odin within an hour. It was unusual to be summoned like this, or at all for that matter.

What could Lord Odin possibly want? Perhaps it was some sort of quest or maybe it was to help defend the Golden Realm. No matter what it could be, Svalin answered the summons and now stood at the base of the stairs leading up to the entrance to the hall.

She'd never admit it of course, but she was a little nervous.

"That's alright," Ohu replies. "Most things seem unimpressive when I'm around. But wait until you see some of the things these mortals have! It's incredible!"

"Well then good Sir Amane, we shall place our good faith in thine hands." Aridis was decked out in her best gear for the trip and her hound looked freshly groomed.

Though that would not last as the dog began to happily sniff the area around them. But as a good trained hound he stayed within his mistresses line of sight.

"You won't find a better guide," Ohu smiles. "My father is the keeper of all stories, and I've seen them all. I know how the world works." He gestures and begins to walk, leading the way. "Wait until you see some of the stuff they've got in the mortal world..."

"Well met. Perhaps thou wouldst be kind to show us the way to New York?" Svalin said as she continued to pat Tryggvi's neck. The horse was clearly unsettled.

"Of course, friend Asgardians!" He looks around briefly, then turns one direction and begins striding confidently that direction.

In truth he doesn't actually know the way, but he knows the world is round. Any direction will lead there eventually!

If they arrive at L.A first Aridis isn't going to be happy.

Until then...on ward my friends!

Halbjorn wouldn't know LA from New York anyway. Journeying has the feel of the start of adventure. Standing in wheat does not. As such, he's rather happy with this for the moment.

Asleif would rather be just about anywhere, up to and possibly including Aunt Hel's realm. Midgard. Bah. Who needed the mortal realm when the other worlds of Asgard were so much more interesting? And cleaner.

But she will follow for now, at least. This looked to be a truly dreadful place to get stuck in.
