It was unlike Emma to stay in bed past seven in the morning but today it was nearly nine and she hadn't stirred. The past had caught up with her. All of the things that her mind had buried or had stripped out had been restored and she felt raw. She also wasn't certain how things were going to be with Scott now. Namor showing up as he had with a child he claimed was their daughter in tow had been a shock to Emma. Would it be nuclear to Scott? For the first time in a long time Emma was afraid and simply didn't want to get out of bed.

	"I see. So to protect Utopia you prefer Namor take my child away from me again and hold her hostage in Atlantis in order to force me to come to him." She looks at him, pained. "My daughter was what she knew that I did not. Sebastian Shaw had her mangle my memories. Dr. McCoy says my brain scans clearly show the damage signatures are the same throughout. I didn't choose to forget her. The choice was taken from me, which means all this time my child has been trapped in an undersea hell with a man who makes Winston Frost look like a saint. I am not being selfish. I want my child safe and away from him! I want her to be around a man who does not emotionally bully people! I want her to have a father who is an example of strength and decency, not vanity and xenophobia.

"You know how badly I've wanted a child...Scott, she's here. My child is here. I can't let her go."

	"Thank you." She squeezes his hands and leaves. When Scott returns home some hours later, Emma is on the couch, the little girl asleep with her head in Emma's lap. Emma pets her honey-colored hair and is singing, very softly, to the girl. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Emma might have heard rumbling and a crash while she was with the little girl. In either event, the news traveled quickly.

Scott and Namor fought. Namor was thought to have the upper hand but then he was forcibly removed from Utopia with a well-placed optic blast.

No one has seen Namor since.

The bruise on Scott's face shows visibly and the swelling is a bitch, even after the ice pack.

"Ladies. I hope things are going well."

	"She's sleeping. The noises scared her earlier." Emma looks up and her eyes widen. "Scott? Oh my god, darling, are you okay?" Gently and deftly she shifts the little girl enough that Emma can get off the couch and go to Scott. "Oh this looks terrible..." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
