wish list

Welcome to the official Valesco wish list! What this list does is allow players to advertise characters which they would like to see picked up, as well as give new players or players looking for another character a place to find suggestions. If you have a character that you want filled, which you do not want to fill yourself (for example, the other half of an OTP, a character needed for a plot (doesn't have to be a new character!), a sibling, etc.

Character Wanted: What's their name? If they don't have one, who are they going to be? (Ex. 'Romilda's Mummy')
Plot Description: Use this space to describe the plot that you want to fulfill to the best of your ability.
Character Specifics: Do you already have some set of ideas of what this character will be like? An age, occupation, personality trait? Put anything you want the prospective player to follow or include when creating this character.
PB Suggestions: If you've got a specific PB you want the player to use, note it here. Same goes for if you just have suggestions of who to use (these can be as vague as 'brunette', 'short', whatever!)

The Puceys

Character Wanted: Abel Pucey.
Plot Description: Father to eight children by two wives and grandfather of Adrian Pucey. Co-founder of Potent Pucey Potions.
Character Specifics: Potions Master. One of the two Pucey brothers that went into business together. They started as a small apothecary before the creation of the most potent love potion in the world (Amortentia) gave the company its wings. He's just turned 50 but nonetheless continues to toil away at new ideas. Abel was the brains, his brother was the business. He is a very shrewd man who demands perfection from his children. The Puceys are a noble pure house and he will not allow that tradition to wane.
PB Suggestions: Mark Harmon or Paul Newman (preferably with mustache for both).

Character Wanted: Brutus Pucey.
Plot Description: Eldest child of Abel and Catharine Pucey. Father of Adrian Pucey. Husband to Erienne Pucey (

eristelle). Older brother to five siblings--including Prisca Pucey (

fierce)--and two half-siblings.
Character Specifics: Potions Master. Death Eater. No doubt a Slytherin and likely was a Prefect or Head Boy if not both. Rather cunning and brusque which makes him difficult to read. Frowns on "mixed marriages" and holds the same belief as the MoM that MBs must be "protected". Works with his father in potion development and refinement. Is (likely) unimpressed and unamused by his younger brother's apathy.
PB Suggestions: Eion Bailey (preferred).

Character Wanted: Cato Pucey.
Plot Description: Second-eldest child of Abel and Catharine Pucey. Younger than Brutus but older than his three remaining siblings and two half-siblings.
Character Specifics: Fancies himself an artist but his general across-the-board apathy makes him more of a "scenester" than actual talent. He was likely a Ravenclaw and overachiever who struggled to be seen in Brutus's shadow. Eventually, he gave up caring because he could do nothing that hadn't already been bested by Brutus. He still lives at the Pucey estate. His attitude disgruntles his father greatly.
PB Suggestions: Jared Leto (preferred).

Character Wanted: Junia Pucey.
Plot Description: Daughter of Abel and Catharine Pucey. The middle child of six siblings--including Prisca Pucey (

fierce)--and two half-siblings.
Character Specifics: A current Hogwarts student (5th year) who is most certainly in Ravenclaw. While Junia does pine for attention, she is recluse compared to her outspoken and aggressive older sister. But like Prisca, she too outright despises her step-mother. She was only seven when her mother passed away and it hit the little girl hard. It's likely what kept the pampering from swelling her ego like it did for Prisca. She is protective of her two younger siblings and would do anything to remain in her father's good graces.
PB Suggestions: Skye Sweetnam (preferred).

Character Wanted: Laurette Pucey (nee LaRue).
Plot Description: Second wife to Abel Pucey. Mother of five year-old twins. Step-mother to six children (two of which are older than her) from Abel's first marriage.
Character Specifics: Catty knock-out gorgeous witch who never settles for less than what she wants. Is of a pureblood line out of Brittany and attended Beauxbatons before she started as an entry-level brewer at Potent Pucey Potions. Within five years she was the co-owner's cauldron assistant and pregnant with his children. She hasn't worked a day since the marriage. Regularly butts heads with Prisca and is rather harsh when dealing with the two youngest step-children. Spoils her own children but rarely takes an actual interest in them.
PB Suggestions: Billie Piper (preferred).

Character Wanted: Herbert "Bertie" Higgs.
Plot Description: Canonically the "hunting buddy" of Tiberius McLaggen (

mctibs). In Valesco, the paternal first-cousin of Brady Higgs (

narcissist) and uncle to Terence Higgs.
Character Specifics: 29-ish. Roughly the same age as Brady since they are in the same year and the same house--1969 Ravenclaw. Not a Muggleborn. Occupation, marital status, orientation, stance on Muggleborns, etc. are entirely up to the player.

Character Wanted: Werner de Witt
Plot Description: Eldest de Witt child. Older sibling of Belise Wickham

tart and Heidi de Witt. Husband of Johanna. Father to Gerda, Johannes, and Leif. Uncle to Astrid Wickham.
Character Specifics: 28ish. Muggle. Of Dutch decent. Parents transplanted to UK due to children relocation during the Holocaust. Works as a butcher but he and his wife live in a wizarding village. Has been dealing with the "magic" world since his sisters started displaying abilities and is now fully-assimilated into the eccentric culture.
PB Suggestions: Peter Sarsgaard (preferred).

Character Wanted: Johanna de Witt (nee Vinter).
Plot Description: Wife of Werner. Mother to Gerda, Johannes, and Leif. Aunt to Astrid Wickham. Sister-in-law to Belise Wickham (

tart) and Heidi de Witt.
Character Specifics: Late 20s (close to age of Belise who introduced her to Werner). Of Danish decent. Blood status and family (siblings, parents, etc) entirely up to player. Likely was a Hufflepuff and now a housewife, but I'm flexible.
PB Suggestions: Maggie Gyllenhaal (preferred).

Character Wanted: Heidi de Witt
Plot Description: Youngest de Witt sibling to Werner and Belise (

tart). Aunt to her siblings' four children.
Character Specifics: Muggleborn. Of Dutch decent. Parents transplanted to UK due to children relocation during the Holocaust. Current Hogwarts student--Gryffindor 6th year. Spitfire tomboy, feminist. Vegetarian, possibly vegan. Likely a Quidditch player. Complete opposite of her doormat sister, but babies still turn her to mush.

Dougal McBride

Character Wanted: Dougal McBride.
Plot Description: Canonically seeker for Pride of Portee in the 90s. In Valesco, half-brother to Darren Quigg (

hustlequigg).
Character Specifics: Of Irish decent. At least halfblood, likely pureblood. In his early 30s. Professional Quidditch player--team placement entirely up to player. Dougal is a happy, easy going, family-oriented, and is an all-around good guy with no angsty secrets lurking in the wings (that he knows of). Unbeknown to Dougal and his younger siblings, his father attacked and raped Darren's Muggle mother when Dougal was still a child (around 6ish years old). It's likely Dougal's father was a repeat offender but he was never caught. In Dougal and his siblings' eyes their childhood was entirely normal. Hogwarts house is negotiable. How and when Darren and his half-brother discover each other is up for discussion.

Character Wanted: Gerard "Gerry" Kirkham.
Plot Description: Father to twin boys (Shawn & Leod II). Eldest Kirkham child and older brother to Greer (

greerie) and Griffith (

gruffith). Uncle to Annabelle Kirkham and Penelope Kirkham.
Character Specifics: Of Scottish decent. Pureblood. In his mid-late 30s. Gryffindor. Played Quidditch and likely was captain. He's a retired star seeker from the Montros Magpies. He retired when his sons were born to be a at-home dad. Likely had hordes of fanwitches in his hey-day. Was not as squeaky clean as golden boy Griff or a hot head like Greer. He was just a good guy with a love for the game. Currently lives with his longtime girlfriend and mother of his children Camilla Greene, a Daily Prophet columnist. Both are very laid back people and have never felt the need for the hooplah of a wedding to confirm their already committed relationship.

Character Wanted: Camilla Greene.
Plot Description: Mother to twin boys (Shawn and Leod II). Longtime squeeze of retired Quidditch star Gerard Kirkham who is from a family of Quidditch-playing sons.
Character Specifics: Decent, blood status, and Greene family dynamics are up to player. Well-known Daily Prophet columnist--column specifics is up to player. In her early-mid 30s. Was likely a Slytherin or Ravenclaw. Strong willed, career-oriented witch. Likely gets along with Gerry's sister-in-law Olivia (

olivias) fairly well. Currently lives with her longtime boyfriend and father of her children Gerard Kirkham, a retired Quidditch seeker. Both are very laid back people and have never felt the need for the hooplah of a wedding to confirm their already committed relationship.

Sage Yates

Character Wanted: Sage Ukelele Natural Noon Yates.
Plot Description: 3rd of 4 Yates children. Younger sibling to Grail Yates (

a_bit_twisted) and Harmony Yates (soon to be Dodderidge,

harmonica). Older sibling to Journey.
Character Specifics: Year and house are flexible. Right now I see Sage as a 5th or 6th year Hufflepuff. His older sister Harmony is a Squib. His older brother Grail is a Death Eater and was a Slytherin. Grail has alienated himself from his immediate family since he left Hogwarts. Sage's parents are hippies (as if the ridiculous names weren't enough of a clue). However, Sage's father is from a shrewd family of purebloods who have shunned Bernard and his family as blood traitors. They were cut off entirely from the family wealth. Sage has had a modest but an extremely loving and supportive upbringing. His older brother Grail has several old-money pureblood friends and has seen their higher standards of living and wealth--this is the main reason Grail despises his immediate family. He could have had that life. He's likely tried to coax Sage to his side or has given up on the younger boy entirely. Sage and his older sister Harmony are very close since she was at home to help raise him and Journey. How Sage handles the processing of all this family love and angst is entirely up to the player.
PB Suggestions: I have no set PB in mind but the PB should be a teenage boy with golden to dirty blond hair like his older siblings whose PBs are Garrett Hedlund and Taryn Manning. Eye color doesn't matter. He shouldn't look polished.

Hollis & Tegan Podmore

Character Wanted: Hollis and Tegan Podmore.
Plot Description: Twin younger sisters of Sturgis Podmore (

podmore).
Character Specifics: Both: Halfblood. Squibs. Parents are wizard and a Muggle. Their father has fully assimilated into Muggle culture and given up a majority of the magical comforts. Parents own and operate a bed & breakfast inn where the Podmore siblings grew up. The twins are very close and have attended local Muggle school. Their brother Sturgis left for his first year at Hogwarts while they were still quite young, but Sturgis is nonetheless an ever-vigilant older brother. He is also quite possibly the busiest wizard on the planet between his Hit Wizard duties, special assignments, and Order commitments. Most of what they know about the wizarding world they have learned from Sturgis. Their father has forgotten a good deal and generally doesn't like to talk about it.
Hollis: The extrovert of the two sisters. Hollis is a go-getter with a tenacious curiosity. She is always to blame for the twin mischief and can talk Tegan into jumping off a cliff with her. Loves being the center of attention and has a mind for business.
Tegan: More ethereal of the two sisters. She is a philosopher and poet at heart. Tends to be a book worm and observer. She has about as much self-confidence as Hollis has in one pinky.
PB Suggestions: Skye McCole Bartusiak (preferred).

Note: Squibs have access to the journals, but cannot ward entries since they lack the required magical ability for wandwork.

Madam Vena

Character Wanted: Madam Vena.
Plot Description: Boss/surrogate mum to Darren Quigg (

hustlequigg) and proprietor of Madame Vena's Escort Service.
Character Specifics: "Tough old bird" as some would say. She is in at least her 80s. Likely a pureblood, but she never married. She has, however, had plenty of suitors through the years--Aberforth Dumbledore (

abertfort), for instance. Vena started out in the entertainment business when she finished school. She was a singer, dancer, showgirl, and even dabbled in burlesque. When times were dark (around the time of Grindlewald's reign) Vena began selling herself as an escort and prostitute to both Wizards and Muggles. As she passed out of her youth, Vena began her own service and took-in wizards and muggles alike who were down-and-out but willing to sell themselves. In exchange, Vena gave them safe haven and respectable clientele. Her Escort Service has become reputable over the years and she keeps her boys in-line with a very firm but motherly hand. It is normal for her to take a rough-edged pup of a boy off the street and turn-out a well-mannered young man. What Vena is NOT is a pimp or pedophile-enabler. She has stringent rules for her clients. Crossing her or moving in on her turf is not wise. In recent months, Vena has had quite a lot of Ministry entanglements with the new Muggleborn restrictions. She's refused to pay the fees for employing Halfbloods and Muggleborns and refuses to turn away Muggle employees. Ministry raids have become a regular occurrence and has caused her clientele list to slim. It's likely she will have trouble with Death Eaters in months to come.

Christian Entwhistle

Character Wanted: Christian Entwhistle
Plot Descripation: Ingrid's starving artist bb daddy/boyfriend!
Character Specifics: Next in line for Cor's pairings that are made up of two opposite personalities is Christian and Ingrid. He was an artist living alone in London in this tiny flat, he's suuuuper poor and starving and whatnot. The two of them met while she was still in Hogwarts (although Sab played her for that part so I'm not sure exactly how they met--we could make something up) against his better judgement since he is like five years older and was like OH GOD I'M A CRADLE ROBBER OH GOD *flail*. But considering she is SO god damn forceful and rash and Gryffindor-like, she ended up overwhelming his Ravenclaw sensibilities and pragmatic nature and got him to date and eventually have ~relations~ with her. They were kind of madly in puppy love even though they would frustrate the crap out of each other at every turn. They visited each other every Hogsmeade weekend and every Hogwarts holiday until just around Spring break when she caught a drunken Ashlyn Cooper at his apartment, kissing him. Ingrid took it entirely the wrong way and flipped a shit and didn't talk to him again properly until a month or so later when she realized she was up the duff.
They got back together, her family once she got out of school kinda went 'um yeah you can keep your boyfriend, but you ain't livin' here and you ain't gettin' our money' which caused her to move in with him. They really struggle between her job as a waitress and his artistic ventures and he's always trying to find another way to support them and Kevin (born in December of '79). The baby situation made him very self-sacrificing.
Personality-wise they're totally different. He's a little socially retarded and doesn't know how to make the right words come out of his mouth in many situations, but he's very smart and thinks through things logically and does his research, as a Ravenclaw would be expected to. She's rash, does what she wants, has a quick temper (and vice versa, he gets an uncharacteristically quick temper with her), is loud, and really shows her age. Her oft immature actions and responses to things frustrate the hell out of him, although I haven't played her for a couple years and I think to SOME tiny degree she's probably calmed down a little because of natural growth that comes with having a baby.
OH RIGHT AND he is super motivated to be in Kevin's life no matter what because his father left his mother when he was young and most of his ambition in life is to make his son's life better than his was.
They are still dating in my head because he's always thought she was too immature for everything going on and I doubt he would have proposed to someone he thought was too young to deal with it, although I think they might be getting close to a comfortable point since it's been a few years. She's probably been pushing him and getting antsy, but I imagine that's one thing he really won't budge on, since she kind of controlled the whole pregnancy without his say XD (which made him want to scream). They're set to have a daughter later on, but it would be after they get a break in finances.
PB Suggestions: Jim Sturgess, please! And why wouldn't you want him? He is GORGEOUS, good lord.
