Hank's laboratory in Avengers Mansion was not, technically, in Avenger's Mansion. Oh, the door was there, but after having rebooted the Infinite Mansion by hooking into a different pocket dimension(took him about two hours of concentrated work), it made sense to branch out into whatever space was necessary. He certainly had plenty of work to do, even with the Avengers reforming. They'd offered him a spot on the team, though he wasn't entirely sure he should take it.

His tenure running the so-called "Mighty Avengers" had been... well, perhaps calling it a draw was reasonable. Some good, some bad. There was the whole being named "Scientist Supreme" by the lifeforce of the Universe itself. That was always good for an ego boost. Gave him something to hold over Tony the next time he pulled that "I'm a Futurist, I just know" crap.

He looked over at his to-do list.

Build Heaven for Bill Foster.    X
Protect Women in Jan's Name   X
Watch out for Cassie                   in-progress
Bring Jan back
Find way to eliminate Ultron permanently
Undue the evil done in your name
Learn to forgive yourself

He went back to his work.   There was still so much to do.

Where did he even begin?

"Trying to figure out a way to eliminate planet destroying radiation, reverse the effects of anti-Pym particles, bridge the dimensional gap without sundering time and space, and then hoping that there's anything left of Jan after all that trauma."

He looked down. "There's an answer here. There has to be. I won't... she can't... she just can't be dead."

Clint felt bad for Hank. The man carried the weight of the world around on his shoulders and rarely took time for himself. He wondered what Jan would think of that if she could see it.

"Hank, why don't you take a break and come with me? Let's have a beer or two. You're gonna fry a circuit if you don't relax a bit." Clint says.

"Jan would want you to take care of yourself if nothing else." he says.

Clint's expression becomes a little bitter at the mention of the Skrulls. Those bastards had ruined /his/ marriage, too.

Not that Clint himself hadn't helped with that.

"Just don't lock yourself in the lab, man. That way lies madness, or somethin' like that." he says, taking a pull from his beer.

"If you need somethin', I'm willin' to help out, too. Jan was a friend and so are you." he says.

"Anytime, Hank." Clint says, taking another drink.

"Jarvis is good at watchin' out for people. Lord knows he's had to do it for Stark a million times over." Clint says, a little annoyance in his voice. His dislike of Tony was still rather high, considering all the B.S. Tony's pulled over the last few years.

Personally, Clint didn't want him involved in the Avengers, but the guy had helped found the group, so that counted for something. Still, it was only because Steve was willing to forgive him that Clint didn't consider knocking Tony's block off a few times over.

"Really, Hank...please ask for some help. That's the reason you genius-types keep in touch, isn't it? When one of you comes up with a problem too big to solve, you pool your resources and come up with something." he says.

	He hadn't been with Jan in a quite a while, truthfully, but for Hank, well, the world of women had always been divided up into Jan and everyone else. True, there had been a few others whom he had thought he'd loved, or loved the idea of being loved by, but it always came back to Jan. "How is Bobbi?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I catch myself dialin' her number four or five times a day before I stop myself and hang up. She knows where I am and how to find me. She's also the one who told me we couldn't be...us, anymore." Clint tells him.

"I got nothin' for that, Hank. The Skrulls did some pretty low-down crap to her, in addition to all the stuff she had to deal with before.

Not to mention I managed to not know that the woman I'd fallen in love with was really a Skrull in disguise. There's just so much wrong with us, I wouldn't know where to start." Clint says, the words spilling from him like a dam.
