For the first time since the dance of the court, Keegan had stepped away from Rowan's side. He needed a break from standing and moving, just needing to get off his feet for a little bit.
He felt almost a little silly, still donning the King's crown as well as his masquerade mask. Where he had blended in with the crowl fairly well before, now he stuck out like a shining beacon thanks to that thing on his head. Still, he was pleased to have won it and even more pleased he shared the experience with Rowan.
With a small smile still on his face, he sat himself at one of the empty tables along the dance floor just to relax for a moment.
Michiko could spot Keegan super easily now that he had a shining crown on his head. She practically skipped over to the table where he was seated and plucked the crown from hi head. "Holy shit! Look at this thing! SO SHINEY!"
One moment, he was getting comfortable. The next minute Michi was there. Plucking the crown from his head before he really even figured out where the hell she came from.
"You are so lucky I have my hair back and you didn't just take half of it with you," Keegan said as he looked up at her. With all the stuff on that he was sure hair would have gotten caught. Especially as he had a tendency to not brush his hair. "I know. It's like a beacon."
Michiko plopped into the chair next to his and put the crown on her own head. It slid down over her eyes. "SPARKLES!" she giggled.
She pushed the crown up and back so she could look at him with that big, goofy grin on her face. "Keeeeeeeeeeegan! My best friend! My bb god father! The homecoming king!"
Keegan had to laugh as the crown slipped down over her eyes, clearly too big for her head. Even when she pushed it back so it stayed, she still looked ridiculous.
"Miiiiiiiiichiko," he responded in kind, "My best friend! Baby momma! Completely and utterly drunk!"
He smiled as he nodded in answer. "Thank you, and I am. The whole court thing is pretty cool and the night can only get better." Keegan sat back in the chair and stretched his legs out in front of him. "Rowan thinks there needs to be a re-count."
"That's what I said," he replied with a small sigh. Leave it to Rowan to find a way to that there was a mistake when something this good happened to her.
Keegan's eyes turned towards the crowd, almost as if seeking her out for a moment. "She does. Really, really hot." She happened to appeal to several of his wardrobe preferences, and looked fantastic in that dress besides.
Michi giggled and leaned forward. "You know this years elections are actually making sense to me. Like all those smart people won for student council and then my bestie and his beautiful girlfriend get homecoming king and queen. The world is at rights again. Not to mention how hysterical it is that Addy and Abby tied for princess. I love 'em both, AB seems to be taking it better though I'm not too surprised," she rambled on. "Addy is going to be pissed for weeeeeeeeeeks," she giggled.
"Sooo! What's good? Did I ask that already? I feel like I've been talking for a long time. I should not drink for a long time and then drink a lot more often because let me tell you, first night back... this kid is a champ. I'm gonna make out with someone tonight, I can feel it," she giggled even more loudly than before, her face turning a shade of red she didn't even know could happen.
The more Michi talked, the more Keegan wished he was actually getting to film this somehow. The look on his face clearly showed his amusement. "I still think it's a little wonky. I mean, I got voted for class rep. Something has got to be a little off. But still, it's great how tonight turned out. Addy being pissed or no."
"That's because you have been talking for a long time," Keegan answered with a laugh and reached over to snatch his crown back. As much as he couldn't have cared if he lost, he did like the fact he won. With Michi being how she was, she could run off with it at any moment. "See, you went and got drunk for the first time again without me. I'm hurt," he faked a small pout, "You'll have to make it up to me sometime. With vodka."
"You're gonna do awesome!" she said brightly. "Rowan will keep you in line my dear," she grinned widely.
"Ooooo! Yeah! That wasn't my fault though Mari was like let's get schwasted and I was like YEAAAAAAAAAH! And it was like ooops!" she giggled. "But yes! I will make it up to you as soon as you would like. We'll get tons of vodky and it'll be amazing!" she announced, throwing her hands into the air.
"Yea, yea. All Mari's fault." He replied with a snicker and a shake of his head. Keegan put the crown back onto his head as he stood, offering a hand out to Michi. "I'll let you know. Maybe this weekend after the game. Come on, Ms. Schwasted, we're going to go make me look like a good dancer in comparison."
Michi took the offered hand and to the best of her ability stood from her seat. "That would be fun!" she commented with a giggle. "You're going to look like an amazing dancer," she laughed spinning out and then back in as they made their way to the dance floor.
