Characters: Tatum & Sunny. Setting: Tuesday afternoon, into town and surrounding roads. Content: SFW, I would imagine. Summary: Tatum and Sunny are going on an adventure into town to find cupcake making supplies, followed by a delicious bounty. And Tatum also wants to pick up a bag of oreos, because every smoker needs a bag of oreos AT ALL TIMES. Although a day after classes that was spent playing Wii and eating cookies was always a good one, Tatum supposed that she needed to get out and go somewhere. She didn't have a very specific plan in mind, but something told her that a trip to the grocery store might be a wise choice. Two hours of Sonic 4 and two joints had entirely destroyed her stash of Oreos, and this realization made her dramatically clap a hand to her stomach as it grumbled. She pushed back from her chair and stood, straining her brain for a moment to try and think of who she could gank into coming along. Sera was an option, but she'd probably complain the whole time, and try to make her buy.. granola whole grain bars or something. Frankie was an option as well, but she had already planned to go and see her later on anyway, sometime after dinner. She couldn't wait that long for a chocolate fix. The best idea of all struck her within a moment, and she almost beamed with glee, proud of her own deductions. Sunny was the perfect candidate. They had been meaning to hang out for ages, and plus, if anybody knew how to make a cookie better than an Oreo, it was Sunny Garcia. Within a few minutes, Tatum had called her friend, agreeing to meet down in the parking lot. Grabbing her wallet from her desk, Tatum tucked it into the back pocket of her jeans, and pushed her reading glasses up from her face, resting on top of her head. She had taken to wearing them more and more lately, finding herself straining to read the text on her screens. She knew Sera would insist that it was related to years of pressing her face inches away from the television set. Exiting her room, she shut the door gently behind her, before heading down the stairs and out of Sonnier, making her way over to the parking lot and looking out for Sunny. "Nothing really," Tatum replied, hands still in her pockets as they walked. "I went to homecoming, I didn't see you around though? That's the latest thing I've done lately that doesn't involve downloads on my Wii," she mused, shrugging her shoulders. She unlocked the driver's side door when they reached in, leaning over and unlocking the passenger side for Sunny, before climbing in and buckling herself.
She began to rummage through the area between the front seats, pawing through a pile of cassettes, before deciding on a Smashing Pumpkins tape, and sliding that into the tape-deck as she started the car up.

Tatum had never really known Anastas very well, outside of whatever Sunny had ever told her, but even so, it seemed a little weird. "You said yes then, I assume?" she asked, quirking an eyebrow, and backing out of the spot, leaving the parking lot and starting to drive toward town. She was a cautious driver, steady and careful, but just a tiny bit of speeding when there wasn't any other traffic with them.
"I had fun, I just went with Frankie. She got into a fight with Gray, she was kind of bummed.. but I stayed over with her, we talked it out. Good times," she mused, smiling slightly.
When Sunny mentioned 'the rabbit game', Tatum perked up, turning a bit to look at her seriously. "Dude, Raving Rabbids? Because if so, then fuck yes! I love that game. Best party game ever when you're baked, they're so funny, man. I can't wait for the new one to come out! Traveling in time!"

"I did," she nodded. "He was really sweet for once," she held out her hand. "He got me this for homecoming," she indicated the green ring. "I bet he did something shitty at the end of the night to make up for it," she rolled her eyes.
"Oh god, Gregoire, of course he ruined someone's night," Sunny shook her head again, remembering their own brief relationship. "He does have that tendency. It must have been nice to spend time with Frankie though," she smiled.
"Yes! That game! And you can shoot the bunnies with plungers! I love that game! It's the one game that I'm kinda good at," she giggled.

Tatum turned away from the road for a moment once she was sure it was clear, taking a moment to look more closely at Sunny's ring. "That is nice. Even if he did fuck up at the end of the night, at least you got some bling?" she replied, grinning coyly.
When her friend brought up Frankie, Tatum got that sheepish sort of look she always got, shrugging her shoulders gently, trying to play it off. "It's always nice. I can't believe we've.. y'know, made it work, for this long. I'm really happy," she explained, stopping herself from adding 'for once' to her statement. Getting down on herself was no way to start an adventure. "And she told me I don't have to be jealous of Gray, cause she's with me.. and, well.. all that stuff. It was really great."
She couldn't help but laugh a little about the game, her head shaking. "We need to play later, after cupcakes.. it's like, official now. I think I want cinnamon chips in my cupcake. Or mint chocolate chips. Delicious cupcakes and Wii, oh yeah~"

"You're not being stupid!" Tatum assured her quickly, glancing at her again as they came to a stop light, the grocery store just a block's view away now. "You're not, really. I always feel like I'm being stupid, I think that's what beautiful people do to a brain. I always feel stupid, like I can't even talk without stammering around Frankie sometime, but it's all worth it in the end. Even if I look a little stupid, apparently that's endearing. But you're nothing like me, you're like.. cool, you got this."
Making a tight turn into the parking lot once they reached it, Tatum idled for a moment as she waited for a mom and her kids to back out of a parking space in their mini-van. "Vanilla bean and cinnamon sounds heavenly. And mint chocolate chip is like.. amazing. Let's do this."

Sunny laughed, feeling better already. She felt like she and Tatum could really relate on a lot of things. "I look stupid all the time Tate," she said. "I get all flustered and goofy... and like... he makes me all... I don't even know," her face turned bight red. "You're not stupid, I think you're cool," she smiled.
"Mmmm... cupcakes..." she unbuckled herself and walked into the store with a big grin. There was nothing that could make this day bad, she had one of her closest friends, the promise of cupcakes, and the bunny video game. All was right with the world.
Sunny made a b-line for the organic section of the grocery store as that was where she found most of the ingredients she needed. "Ooo! I hope they have like Halloween cupcake holders, it's October therefore all things must be Halloween-centric."

"Like I said, affection makes us all look like total idiots. I think it's like, the rules. I bet they feel the same way, they're just totally foreign and deep and don't show it," Tatum suggested, grinning a little. The idea of trading places with Frankie in their relationship was just a weird one; the idea of her girlfriend being the stammering ball of nerves, the idea of herself being so collected and adorably brooding. It was enough to make her crack an even wider grin.
She followed Sunny dutifully through the store, considering grabbing them a shopping cart, but feeling it too soccer-mom-ish. "We need Halloween. Can we have like, orange icing? And sprinkles? Or something? Oh dude, and spider gummi candy! Or bats?! Badass, dude!"

"I don't think I've ever given her a chance to be speechless. When I'm around her, it's like word vomit, I'm so happy to be with her that I just.. usually talk the whole time. I think I've talked with her more than I've spoken to some other people I've known my whole life," Tatum mused, that sheepish look on her face again. She reached up, rubbing the back of her neck a little. "If that makes sense."
When Sunny suggested making their cupcakes as big and bad as possible, Tatum immediately perked up, head bobbling with agreement to every word. "Color sugar too, that shit is delicious. We can mix like, orange and black together, or something and then it'll be badass and sparkly and sugary," she suggested, almost feeling her stomach grumble in agreement as well.
"I just got a new SD card, it's on my desk back at school, I am camera ready for this awesome."

"Caught up as in a synonym for obsessive?" Tatum joked, laughing it off a little, but really half meaning it. She did sometimes worry that she might scare Frankie off with her intensity; they had dated before, and although this time was going a hundred times better, she knew that her girlfriend sometimes had a short patience for some things. Some people, and she never wanted to end up as one of those people. But Frankie was also her first serious girlfriend, even at seventeen, and that kept Tatum falling a little harder than she realized.
"Dude, where can you even buy dry ice around here?" Tatum replied, laughing along with Sunny, as she reached out and grabbed a small bag of cinnamon chips from the shelf, examining the front of package. "Holy shit, these look delicious."
