"Doesn't matter," she grunted, though clearly she was bothered by it. Hell, nobody liked her anyway, let alone enough to stand up for her. Why fuss? She sat up then, and stared into the cup a bit. She was about to say something about wishing she'd done some things differently, but that sounded so maudlin and... stupid.
She shrugged at Michi's assessment and downed the rest of her drink, much faster than she should have, while she thought about how to respond. "So it bothers me. Doesn't mean I can do anything about it. So whatever." And then she was on that again. "I put up with it 'cause I love him. And he loves me, and he's the only one who does, okay, so I'm not gonna get all hung up on it."
"Have you talked to him about it?" she asked sipping on her drink. Michi grabbed the bottle of rum and handed it over to Addy after taking a swig of it herself.
She nursed the bottle, but didn't really drink from it. "Dude, he won't care. He's a guy. All he cares about is getting me back into bed. I mean-- fuck! Nothing happened, okay, I was just there." Okay, now it was time to drink.
"Dude, no. I just said nothing happened. Just hanging out after homecoming... in his bed. The cat was there!" She added, as though that should be more than enough evidence that nothing untoward went on.
"You're lying to me Adelaide Legaux," Michi said skanking the bottle back for another swig and then handing it back. "You didn't tell me for like two whole weeks, what happened?"
She rubbed her neck nervously. How could she always tell? It's like she grew mom psychic powers when she had Zombi. "There... may have been some..." She paused, trying to gauge Michi's anger from her eyebrows. "Smoking."
Michi cocked an eyebrow. "Of course that little pot head was smoking, what's new?" she could tell by the way Adelaide was acting that something else had happened. "What did he convince my poor defenseless precious to do?"
"... you make it sound like I have no say in these things. Maybe I was all LET'S TOTALLY DO IT RIGHT NOW and he was like NO hmm?" She withered a little under Michi's skeptical glare. "I didn't do anything I didn't want to."
Michi frowned. "He wouldn't dare say no to you," she crossed her arms firmly. "So you're saying that you did do something because you just said you didn't do anything you didn't want to."
Addy frowned right back. "And if I didn't want to do anything, and didn't do anything I didn't want to do then I wouldn't have done anything anyway, would I?" She was starting to confuse herself. "Okay, fine. Some stuff was potentially done. But it was my idea, not his."
"I haven't seen you, hobag!" She grinned. "What was I gonna do, send out an all points bulletin? 'Dear Interested Parties, Leon and I did stuff after homecoming, we are alerting you because obvs this is strange'?"
Michi laughed. "Well obviously you should have," she gave her a gentle nudge. "It is strange because you're fucking Adelaide Legaux, you're not the kind of girl to do stuff at homecoming," she laughed. "Not that I want you to leave all the bad decision making to me."
It was Michi's turn to blush, which was not something she did frequently if ever. "Well if the night had gone according to plan I would have made out with Gael on the quodpot field but instead I... drunkenly made out with Grey and instantly regretted it. It was AWFUL."
Addy leaned forward, glad the attention was off her. "You made out with GRAY?" She paused after the last party. "I would have thought he'd be really good. He looks like a good kisser." And then she blushed again, because how the damn hell would she know.
"Well, sounds like Gael had fun anyway. I ran into him on my 'walk of shame'; he was SOAKING wet and looked confused as hell."
"He is a good kisser," Michi's stomach turned. "Ugggggggggggh... that's just wrong, let's pretend it wasn't Grey," her face distorted a little, as if it pained her to say that he was a good kisser. "It was awful in the sense that I should not have kissed him back."
"Yeah, poor kid slept on the quodpot field and the sprinklers came on," Michi laughed. "We were all pretty wasted."
"I would have kissed him back. Hunter be damned." She assumed, of course, that this was the problem. Not that Michi thought of him as a brother, because, c'mon. It's Gray.
She laughed at the thought of Gael sleeping on the wet field. "Aw man, I bet that sucked. Though, that night was pretty warm; maybe it was okay."
"I love Hunter," she pouted. "And Gray is like... my brother," she shivered and chugged from the bottle.
Michi laughed along with her. "Well he wasn't alone, Mari fell asleep out there too," she giggled. "She came back in the morning thinking she had done something terrible with Leon because she couldn't remember the night before."
"Hey, Hunter rocks. But Gray is damn cute, and not actually your brother. Chug up if you want, but it's true." She laughed so hard she almost snorted when Michi told her about Mari's fears. "Ahaha! Dude. If she was on the field with Leon, then I saw a lot more of Gael than I ever meant to."
