It was nice to see all of her friends being so cute with Isamu. She led him into the kitchen but she was too antsy to sit down. "So, this is crazy right?" she asked with a little laugh, her arms crossing her chest. She hadn't really talked about her son and what it would mean for her future to anyone.
He followed her to the kitchen, his hands in his pockets rather casually as he walked along behind her. Keegan didn't bother sitting for the moment either, instead choosing to lean up against the counter.
"I know," he nodded with a small laugh. "It's going to take a bit of getting used to, but Isamu is an adorable kid. So it won't take long."
"Yeah, he's amazing," she said softly with a big grin. "I just... I can't believe I'm a mom. Like... a real mom," he took his hand and sighed contentedly. "I just... you know I would not have made it without you guys."
Keegan couldn't help but smile give his best friend a warm smile in return. He glanced down to her hand before looking back up at her and shrugging slightly. "You are our friend, our Michi. You know we're here for you when you need us, and even when you don't necessarily want us." He couldn't fight ending that statement with a rather broad grin.
Michi couldn't help but smile. "I know you guys will always be there. That's why I kinda have an important question for you. I know it seems like a lot of responsibility and feel free to say no, but I can't think of anyone who would be a better god father for my son," she rambled a bit in her excitement and looked at her best friend earnestly.
It took a moment for his mind to catch up with her words. He was listening, certainly, but there was an extra moment when he realized she had specifically asked him to be the god father to her child.
Something about the thought alone got Keegan to smile a little wider if that were even possible. "You want me to be Isamu's god father? Really? I mean, I'd love to, if you were sure."
"I really do," she said brightly. "I'm positive! You're the only person in the world I would want to be his god father." She couldn't help the goofy grin on her face. "You're first mission, if you so chose to accept it, is to help me start planning for the best first birthday ever," she laughed. "We have a year, I'm pretty sure it's going to be the best thing ever," she grinned.
He'd heard of people he knew playing the role of god parent, his brother for one, and it always seemed like something small. But at this point, when she asked, it seemed so much bigger and cooler than that. "This kid is going to have the best birthday known to man, Michi. Mission accepted."
She knew that it would be easier with her friends around. Michi laughed and leaned back. "Awesome!" she gave him a big hug, feeling incredibly relieved.
When she hugged him, Keegan wrapped his arms around her and hugged her back tightly, briefly lifting her from the floor before setting her back down. Michi was released after a moment as he smiled down at her. "Damn right he does."
With a nod of his head towards the rest of the party, he said, "We should get back. Before anyone accidentally breaks my godson."
