"The latter seems more apt," he mused a little, tilting his head to the side as he shifted on the chair. He bounced his foot in the air a bit, chewing his lip as he looked absently at the page. "Do you think things get better once you graduate this place?"
He knew it was a random sort of question, but was curious as he stared off into the oblivion. It wasn't even that being at school was terrible, either. It was the simple state of 'child but not' that was vexing. That and the conflicting emotions that ran amok in day to day life.
Most people attending CCI seemed content with their lives, happy with general things while vexed by only the trivial. But Leon had a certain sort of loathing for this in between limbo, as if it were nothing more than a prelude to hell, waiting for him to take that one last unfortunate misstep.
