"I guess you're right? But every family is different. And yeah, that would be great for you, I'm sure." Rowan smiled at the happy thought of what she would like to be doing during break.
"Um, big plans? Not really. Holiday celebration with his family, and then his parents invited me and mine over for dinner. We don't really celebrate, uh, big like that, so it'll be different this year. Fun." The memories of holidays passing uncelebrated flashed through Rowan's mind. Birthdays, holidays, anything that was a real party and a cause for high spirits. Since excitement seemed to set Rose Cabot off, the family tended to let things pass by unnoticed.
Moving to change the mood of the conversation to a happier one for her, Rowan spoke with a small smile. "I just hope he likes the things I made for him and got him."
