Oh dear. Sibyl had mentally prepared herself to deal with a crowd, but had not prepared herself to deal with this. She wasn't used to getting compliments.

"Well, thank you," Sibyl managed a small smile, "And your name is? I've seen you around, but..." At least she thought she'd seen him around before.

Well of course she had seen him around, Sim scoffed to himself. He was pretty much the most popular guy in school, after all. In fact, he was a little put out she didn't know his name.

"Sim" he said simply, holding out his hand to shake hers. Whenever he actually got the chance to talk to a nice girl, he came over a little soft.

Sim. Well, that was an easy name to remember and one she probably wasn't going to space on any time soon. It was always the common names she had trouble with. The more uncommon ones stuck out more to her.

He held his hand out and she placed her hand in his for the shake, and she offered him another smile. "Honored to meet you, Sim." She took a quick glance around, seeing that there was no one around him. Still, she didn't want to keep him here chatting if he had someplace better to be. "I'm not holding you up or anything, am I?"

"Oh, no. I don't have anywhere to be." He grinned and shrugged. "Unless you have somewhere better to be." Although Sim seriously doubted that. Where was better than with him?

Sibyl shook her head a bit and shrugged her shoulders. She didn't have anything on the agenda or anyone to meet. "Nope. I just got here, so nowhere to be yet. Do you, um, dance? Or do you just stand on the sit and chat up girls?" Yes. In a roundabout way, Sibyl just asked someone to dance.

Sim grinned and thought about it for a second. "About half and half" he admitted unabashedly. "Would you like to dance? I'll try notto show you up too much, but I am quite talented" he half joked and tilted his head towards the dancefloor.

The honest way in which he said it made Sibyl laugh a bit as she glanced out onto the dance floor. She was still smiling after it when she looked back up at him. "Yea, I would." The reason to come to a dance was to have a bit of fun, right?
