"Fuck that," Tatum replied quickly, shaking her head. "The only thing baked will be us," she assured her girlfriend, tightening the grip around her waist a little. "Like I said, we're not really into that kind of stuff at my place.. they'll be home for actual Christmas day, but other than that, I'm basically running solo. You might see Sera once or twice, but other than that, smooth sailing."

Not that she liked to avoid her family on an active basis, but when she had Frankie over, it was a little different. The last thing she wanted was her brother asking awkward questions, or her step-mother trying to chat her up for hours at a time.

Frankie breathed a sigh of relief and nodded. "Okay, I just had to make sure, you know?" She laughed and swayed with the music again.

"I totally understand," Tatum agreed, nodding her head as well. "I wouldn't want to go to somebody's house either if I thought I was going to get sucked into like.. awkward family bonding moments. I can't deal with that kind of shit," she replied, smiling. "No worries," she added, leaning over up a bit to kiss Frankie's forehead. "Besides, oreos are better than Christmas cookies anyway.."

"Well, there's no chance of that happening at my house" Frankie joked, laughing. "I'll show you my best ice cream sandwich recipe. It involves Oreos."

"You had me at ice cream," Tatum replied quickly, grinning. "We could go down to the lake at my place again if you want, but we'll probably freeze. I wouldn't advise another swimming session. It might even be frozen, though I don't know if it'll be thick enough to walk out on yet, but that could be fun.. I haven't done that in years."

Pausing for a moment, she adverted her eyes slightly, smiling sheepishly. "Unless you like, don't want to. We can do whatever you want. You're the guest."
