The music was indeed getting louder, and Kenya, while she loved the 'smooth sounds' of popular rock, silence had it's virtues as well, or at least. As much silence as could be allotted at a party like this. Finding a more secluded spot outside, Kenya popped open another bottle of soda, fixing her skirt as she sat.
There was a good chance that she was one of the few people tonight who would remember this party. She might as well enjoy it.
Conor had a lot of friends at tonight's party. A lot of good friends who were excited to see him. They were also a little too excited to drink and pop pills and smoke up that he started to feel... well. A little out of place with just a plastic cup full of Sprite.
He'd told a friend he was stepping out, and then made a b-line for the door-- not even waiting for a response.
When he finally found some place that he thought he could sit... someone was already sitting there.
It really must be a bit impressive that at a CCI party, there actually was non-alcoholic drinks that weren't yet spiked. Clearly this school had class. Kenya's cup was far from one of those drinks, and seeing the rather sober Conor was very much a plus.
"Oh. Uh. Cool" Conor smiled and sat down. It took him a moment, and only just a moment to feel awkward. It was a party and she was all by herself. Was this one of those 'girl time' moments you weren't supposed to interrupt? Or was she waiting for someone. He side-eyed her, smiling pleasantly.
"Yes?" Kenya replied, poor kid, at least she wasn't crying over some boy who didn't love her- or so drunk that she hadn't noticed being left alone by her friends. Instead she was just... sitting. Alright. That is a bit odd at a party like this.
"Enjoying the peace out here even more so." She paused, "I'm Kenya, I'm sorry but do I know you?"
"I'm not," Conor laughed. "You're safe. Junior. Faux-pas averted or something." That had sounded a lot smarter in his head. He took a sip of his drink right as she was pointing it out.
"Really?" Forgive her shock Conor, but that seems to be a bit rare around here. Taking a sip of her own coke Kenya paid a glance to their more intoxicated peers.
"So that'll be two people who will remember that they made out." She commented, pointing to a rather odd couple taking over a doorway.
