"I'll push you if that's what you need." Sera laughed reassuringly. "Have you thought about anything you want to try specially?" She asked curiously, thinking if there was anything right off the back that she'd like to try in the New Year.
"I've been thinking lately about maybe joining Cheerleading." Sera added, feeling slightly ashamed by the idea. "I don't suppose that's on your new lists of things to try is it?
Any other time Meka would have denied up and down that joining the cheerleading team was something that she secretly always wanted to do. "Oh man! Are you serious? Really? Like... I've been secretly wanting to join cheerleading for a while," she laughed a little maniacally. "I'm not even joking, I just... never expected you to want to try out either!"
"What do you say Sera? Try out together when we get back?" She might actually try out if one of her best friends was trying out with her.
Meka's excitement about cheerleading came as both a shock and a relief to Sera. She had no idea her roommate had an interest in Cheerleading. "I say we should definitely go it." Sera laughed, adding with a grin, "Maybe I'll even start to actually understand and like Quodpot."
"Let's do it. Let's try out together when we get back to school," Meka grinned. She of course would have to be convinced again once she was sober but it would be good for her to get out and try something new, that's why she had made it her resolution.
She took a swig of whiskey from her flask and grinned at her room mate. "I bet we'd make good cheerleaders," she smiled.
"Alright, deal." Sera grinned at her roommate "We can't chicken out though, we have to actually try it." She laughed, knowing she might need to remind Meka of this when she hadn't had so much to drink.
"Oh we will." Sera laughed a little cockily. "We're gonna be awesome." She tried to be completely serious, but couldn't help but giggle somewhat.
"Yeah! I won't chicken out if you don't chicken out! And we're going to make all those other cheer bitches jealy," she giggled. "Like... whoa awesome," she grinned drunkenly.
"I'm so glad your my roomie Seraphim Donnelly Rousseau. I love you," she giggled.
"Oh for sure girl" Sera giggled in return. "They'll all be hella jealous." She couldn't help but laugh at what she just let come out of her mouth, she hadn't even been drinking.
Sera smirked shaking her head briefly at Meka. "I'm glad you my roommate too." She laughed.
Meka laughed loudly when she heard what Sera said. Hella. Hella? Amazing. She loved that side of Sera as much as she loved the scholarly side. It was nice to be goofy for once.
"Exactly!" she said joyfully. "This is gonna be awesome! And... oh... em... gee... terrifying. Those little tiny uniforms," her eyes went wide.
"It might not be that terrifying." Sera tried to assure her friend, even though she kind of agreed. She hadn't thought about it but she wasn't sure she liked the idea of her ass hanging half out to any guy who felt like taking a peek. "Don't worry about it, you'll look hot." Sera continued with a smile, keeping her worries to herself. It was too late to back out now.
Meka laughed raucously. "Right? I guess we'll just have to get used to being hot commodities," she giggled. "Are you ready for this shiz?" she grinned.
"I wanna try to get out more." Sera laughed shrugging her shoulders. "And go to more parties. This isn't so bad." She continued glancing around and scooting back on the sofa.
"Maybe I'll even try something really crazy?" She laughed again, "Like skinny dipping or something."
"Yeah, this is actually a pretty nice party," Meka agreed. "The outdoorsy ones are so bad because you can always just scamper off, you know?" she said. She usually scampered off to have a cigarette.
"Oh man, that's crazy," she giggled. "I don't think I could ever do the naked outside of the shower thing."
Sera giggled aloud. "I could do it at the lake by my house, I think." She continued to laugh. It was pretty secluded down by the beach. "Never anywhere around here though, where people from school could show up." She quickly added, shaking her head. "I think I'd die."
"What about you? Have you thought about what new things you wanna try?"
Meka giggled. "Oh, that's not so bad then," she grinned. "You have to tell me after so I can give you a high five," she giggled. "You get high fives for being waaay braver than me," she giggled.
"I have... I've been thinking," she lowered her voice. "Now. This is a super secret, more secret than the cheerleading thing," she giggled, trying to keep her voice quiet. "I want to dance again. It's been... three years since I have."
"You should do it then." Sera leaned in lowering her voice to the same level as her roommates, assuring her she'd keep it a secret. "Maybe Cheerleading could even help you get back into it?" She offered further, with a grin of encouragement.
"Yeah! Yeah, cheering might help. I mean... I'm not going to be as good as I used to be but I might be able to get it back," she said somewhat thoughtfully for someone who had been drinking as much as she had. "I think we're going to have this next semester," she said happily.
"That you do." Sera giggled, smiling at her roommate. It was through no fault of Meka's that they hadn't managed more camp fires in the past year, Sera knew she needed to make more time for her friends and decided then that this was a good year to start. She figured she could even make it part of her New Years Resolution.
She needed to keep herself busy if she was going to get over Jenny (even if that is the last thing she really wanted to do) and she focusing on school alone probably wasn't going to cut it. "You have to make sure I don't waste another year doing nothing but studying and choir practice, okay?" Sera laughed again.
"I promise!" she laughed along with her room mate. "We should do something like every weekend that doesn't include singing and reading," she grinned. "As soon as we get back we're going to start!"
She leaned over and gave Sera a half hug. "We should get some girls or boys or what have yous," she giggled, trying to keep her voice low.
Sera smiled at Meka, "That sounds like fun. What do you think we should do first?" She just have to start better organizing her schedule. If that was possible?
Sera leaned into Meka's hug. She couldn't help but think how lucky she was to have such a great friend. "Okay, I guess." Sera smiled, "Have anybody in mind?"
Sera smiled, it all sounded pretty fun to her. "We could do all that stuff." She giggled, "There are plenty of weekends, we could do whatever we want." Within reason Sera thought to herself. She couldn't help but smile.
She tried to see who Meka was looking for but only just ended up scanning the room for Jenny. "Really?" Sera nudged Meka. "He's pretty cute." She teased a little.
"Me? I don't know right now." She smirked, leaning back with a slight shrug. "It's time I find a new crush I guess" She laughed.
