"That would probably help," Quinn agreed as she cut the power to the engine and sat back in her seat without taking the keys from the ignition just yet. "I'll talk to Noah next time I stop home."

She stole a quick glance around them, and seeing nobody, she reached into the back seat to grab her purse. Quinn opened it up and pulled out two water bottles, each filled with what looked mostly like iced tea but was, in fact, rum. One of them was passed to Alex. "Here's yours. Drink up, Alex."

"I think it's kinda funny how in denial she can be about everything." Alex stretched out his legs in the foot well, and leaning back a little more. "When were you planning to go?"

He glanced around when she did, as a reflex, and accepted the bottle from her. "Will do." He smirked a bit at her, twisting the cap off and taking a swig, fighting back the slight automatic face at the burn.

Quinn stretched her legs out as much as she could as she twisted the bottle cap off and shrugged. "I'll probably do that this weekend. Put the bug in his ear about that."

She put the bottle to her lips and took a long swig of it, letting out a breath as the rum burned her through on the way down. But it was a good burn. "I also have to sweet talk him into letting me throw a Mardi Gras party."

Alex nodded a bit at that. "So maybe I'll mention something to Mom around then, too. So that when Uncle Noah brings it up, she won't think it came out of nowhere."

He grinned at that. "That'd be awesome. I hope he does." He was, of course, assuming he'd be able to go.

"Good idea. Mom is far too paranoid about you, so no surprises is a better way to go." She gave a little nod of approval and took another few swigs of the rum before she tightly closed the bottle and went to replace it in her purse.

"He'd better," Quinn added as she pulled her sunglasses out and set them on her face. The rum was already beginning to take effect and she just smiled at her brother. "Have a little more quick, if you want, before we head in. Then I'll throw it in my purse to enjoy during the movie."

Alex couldn't help rolling his eyes. "I seriously wish she'd get off my back sometimes. I don't even know why she is the way she is, but it's fucking annoying." He took a couple of angry swigs of the rum.

He watched as she put her sunglasses on, then smiled slightly back at her, almost a little goofily. "Alright." He took another pull from the bottle before capping it and handing it over.

"Well, Alex. Just be glad that although you have an annoying mother, you have a sister that is much more fun to be around." The goofy smile she saw made her grin a little more as she took the bottle from him and checked the cap to make sure it was tight before she put it in her bag. The last thing she needed was everything in her purse to be soaked in rum.

That was just a waste of rum.

"Off we go, then," Quinn announced once the purse was zipped up. She carefully climbed out of her car and waited for her brother after shutting the door.
