"Five days." Adelaide cried incredulously. "Writing labels with Fortis. And have you seen that girl's handwriting? I'll probably get stuck there another five days just because she's illiterate!"
The quod exploded in her hands; she hadn't been paying attention to it. But she was now, cursing up a storm as she pressed her singed fingertips to her palms.
Michiko laughed. She totally was "the mom" when it came to her friends... and literally. She smirked and took Addy's hands. "Episkey," she said waving her wand over the brunt fingers. She pressed a little kiss to them and laughed. "All better?" she teased.
"Aww, I don't have one now," she pouted. "But I might have some skittles in my bag," she laughed. Of course she had skittles in her bag, she always had skittles in her bag.
"Hahaha, awesome." She disarmed the practice quod and tucked it under her arm, picking up her broom with the other and motioning for Michi to follow her back off the field. "I'm gonna put this back before I really do some damage. Want to go for a run?"
Michi followed Addy back off the field. "Good call," she grinned. "I could go for a run," she looked at what she was wearing and shrugged. "Well... maybe I'll hang in the back a bit doing a light jog," she laughed.
They took off, Michiko jogging behind Adelaide at a slower pace and without her flip flops on. She knew she needed to pick up her run in the next month, so as much running as possible was just what she needed.
Having not even noticed her friend's choice in footwear, Adelaide took off as usual, noticing a few yards down the track that Michi wasn't by her side only when a particularly offensive question had gone unanswered. She slowed to a walk until she caught up, and then jogged alongside her.
"A few weeks, yeah?" She asked, assuming Michi's not running was a pregnancy thing. "You'll be back in top form soon. Then I won't feel bad knocking you off your broom."
Michi was glad that Adelaide was willing to drop back a bit to job with her. "Yeah, I should be good to go by the end of next week. I've been doing a little working out but nothing to intense. Also my footwear was not the best choice," she grinned.
"I can't wait to get knocked off my broom again," she grinned.
