Characters: Tatum and ??? Setting: Commons, probably not too far from Sonnier; late Thursday afternoon. Rating: SFW. Summary: It's a long walk back to Sonnier from Rienzi, and Tatum doesn't think she can make it. She takes a rest on the way. After finally getting Sera to agree to loan her a few dollars, which was nothing short of a struggle, Tatum got ready to go over to Rienzi and find Charlie. If she was lucky, he might be lurking outside and having a cigarette. Often he was, which worked great for her. It meant no awkwardness of having to go inside and feel like an idiot until she tracked him down. Pulling on her jacket, leaving it open, she headed out. Twenty minutes later, the deal was done, and she had stuck around long enough to roll herself something for the walk back to Sonnier. After she sparked that up, she was one gram and ten dollars poorer. But about ten times higher. Which, in her opinion, left her basically breaking even. She had never really realized how far the walk back to her room actually was. It seemed like she had been trudging on for about an hour, and her legs felt heavy, sort of like lead. In fact, she could barely keep her head up, stifling a yawn with the back of her hand as she walked. She only made it about half way, before she felt she couldn't go on any longer. This was as good of a spot as any to take a rest. And so, just about in the middle of the commons, she flopped down. The ground wasn't even really cold, and the grass was.. actually pretty comfy. She could just lay here for a little while and chill out, wait it off until she thought she could start walking again. It wasn't like she was in any kind of rush. It didn't take her long to slide from a sitting position and into a laying one. Folding her arms behind her head, grinning like a fool, she stared up at the sky. To the outside observer, she probably just looked like an overly dedicated cloud-gazer, just laying there and gazing up at nothing. She'd get up when she was ready, or when dinner came. Whichever was first. Tags: !incomplete, tatum donnelly

Amy had arranged her schedule so that her last period was a free period, effectively ending her school day after her seventh class. She headed back to Sonnier to change her clothes, relax with a snack and some TV for a short while, and then get started on her easier homework assignments before heading to the library to get some research done for her Ritual Magic paper. After finding the books she needed, Amy got to work, managing to get quite a few notes down before feeling like her brain had turned to mush. That was enough research for the day. She gathered up her things, checked her books out, and went back to Sonnier. On her way back, Amy spotted someone sprawled on their back on the ground, staring up at the sky. On closer glance, she saw that it was Tatum. "See anything interesting up there?" she asked with a grin.

Tatum barely seemed to notice Amy speaking to her at first. It was about ten seconds of delay, before the red-head perked a bit, grinning back up at her friend. "Naw dude," she murmured, looking a little guilty, but still grinning.
"I'm just-- I was at Rienzi, and then I.. needed a rest. So I took a rest.. yeah. I was going to find Frankie, but now I can't really get up. My legs are like, super heavy," she explained, rambling a little, and eventually trailing off. "Yeah."

"Dude, ladies marry the Eiffel Tower? That's kind of badass," Tatum replied, blinking a bit. "This show is called like.. My Strange Addiction or something. There was a lady who had to sleep with her blowdryer in her hand. Like, couldn't function without it. And there was a lady who used to smoke crack, and she started bodybuilding to get off the drugs, and now she's addicted to being buff and is like, killing herself. It's fucking crazy as hell," she explained, complete with motions of her arms as she did so. She tended to let the hand talker come out whenever she had smoke a good joint.
"And dude, Notorious is boss. Do you watch like, Cold Case Files and American Justice and stuff? I love those kind of shows. I kind of dig serial killers.. in like, a fascinating way. Not like I am one. Yeah."

"Sounds scary," Tatum replied, gulping a little. She might have been a horror fan to the utmost degree, but there was horror and then there was creepy. Munchkins, dolls, marionettes, all that sort of thing was the truly scary stuff.
Her thoughts still racing, Tatum was quiet for another few moments, before blurting another random comment. "My step-mom is like, the wicked witch of the.. whatever it's called. That's in the Wizard of Oz, right? Yeah. It's better cause she really is a witch.. she just happens to be wicked," she murmured. "They took my allowance away. But it wasn't my fault."
Whenever Tatum smoked, it was like word vomit, every little thought that popped into her head came tumbling out.
