Quinn/Jenny

Quinn hadn't exactly been expecting to run into someone. Or, rather, be run into. Her eyes had been elsewhere and didn't notice the younger blonde moving away from the table. It was due to Jenny's good reflexes that the two didn't completely collide.

She glanced down to see what Jenny motioned at and looked back at Jenny with a small shrug. "For now, yes." Quinn liked Jenny. Plus, she was in a rather good mood, so she felt a little conversation at least was in order. "How was your summer?"

Quinn/Jenny

"It was kind of uneventful. Lots of tanning and relaxing in the sun," Jenny replied, holding out one golden arm as if to confirm the majority of her summer had indeed been spent roasting under the Michigan sun. "I didn't so much, I went to visit.. some friends, stuff like that, nothing special. I'm kind of glad to be back," she further explained, her eyes following a familiar face walking past them.

Turning her eyes back to Quinn, the blonde smiled a little, reaching up and tucking some hair behind her ear. "You should have.. come out, for a little while. I meant to invite you."

It would have been nice to have the company, if nothing else. It was only a bonus that Quinn seemed to know just how to make her.. relax, so to speak.

"At least you didn't spend it completely bored?" Quinn offered after listening to Jenny's explanation, as well as glancing down at the suntanned arm that proved she'd been out. Quinn had been out plenty, still she was on the pale side. She just didn't stay tan for long.

At the last part, though, the brunette raised an eyebrow in interest. She'd been busy enough to not come up with the idea to go visit Jenny, or have her over. Which, in hindsight, would have been a good idea. "Hmm, true. It would have been interesting. But," Quinn flashed the blonde a wicked little grin, "There's the whole school year ahead."

"That's exactly what I was thinking," Jenny replied, offering the brunette a little smile. It was almost shy-looking, but it conveyed something more exchanged between them. She wasn't sure what it was about Quinn, but from the beginning of whatever it was they shared, the older girl always seemed to bring out a facade of demure in Jenny. She always ended up smiling and shy, looking more innocent than ever, despite everything.

"You wanna go for a walk? I'm kind of sick of this whole scene, I need a little break," the blonde suggested, scooting in closer to Quinn, as an older boy shoved past her with his hand clamped over his mouth. She turned her head, eyes squinting shut, as she vaguely heard him begin to vomit in some too-close-for-comfort bushes off to her left.

Quinn/Jenny

Quinn was about to respond when the older boy pushed past Jenny, catching her attention and her eyes couldn't help but follow him with a scowl as he passed. She was having a conversation and did not like her partner being shoved. However, the sight of the boy soon vomiting made that scowl turn into a look of disgust.

"A walk sounds like a great idea," she answered quickly and set her hand against Jenny's back to get the both of them away from the sickly sight. Not to mention the smell that usually came from it. "Not having a good night, then?"

"Mediocre night might be a better way to explain it," Jenny replied, her head inclined toward Quinn as they made their way away from the crowd, sick and otherwise. She scooted a little closer as Quinn placed the hand against her back, offering the brunette a half-hearted little smile.

"I'm just not in a party mood, I guess. I only really came to give Charlie his present, but then I didn't want to just up and leave, I figured it'd be kind of rude," the blonde admitted, reaching up and pushing some hair behind her hair gently. "You know?"

Quinn/Jenny

Once they were a safe distance away, and then some, she stopped so that she could pay more attention to the younger blonde. "In a party and not in a party mood, that's awful," Quinn almost pouted. It was a travesty to be in a party and not having any fun.

So, she offered to fix that. "Well, doll, is there anything I can do to help make your night better?" It didn't matter if Jenny said she wanted to take off and go somewhere else, sit and talk, or go make someone's night miserable for her.

Quinn/Jenny

Jenny smiled a little sheepishly, giving a gentle shrugging of her shoulders. "I dunno, there might be something that you could help me out with," Jenny began slowly, trailing off, but never taking her gaze off of Quinn. She still faced the older girl with a crooked little smile, bordering somewhere between shy and a touch of cheekiness.

More than anything, Jenny needed to get away. She wanted escape from the mundane, away from the drama she was going through with Sera, among other things. She just wanted something else, something different. She was sure it wasn't coincidental that whenever she felt this way, she found her way to Quinn.

"I'm.. open for whatever, you know me."

Quinn/Jenny

Quinn, as she found, didn't really have a type. She did lean more towards the dark and the bad, it seemed, but yet on several occasions she enjoyed her time with the blonde Beauregard cheerleader. She wasn't sure if it was a sincere like of the girl or what, but the feeling of corrupting someone fairly innocent (at least in comparison to herself) was probably at least a small part of it.

"Come on, then," she said and nodded towards the way out, where they could leave the party behind. She'd had her fun, so she didn't feel like she was leaving much. "My room is a good option. We can figure out what to do when we get there."

Quinn/Jenny

"Kay," Jenny replied easily, without any semblance of a hesitation. She had seen Charlie, given him his present, and her duty was finished. She could go, and she was glad to. Without a more genuine smile, the blonde began to head along the way out of the woods, walking closely at Quinn's side as they went.

When they were near the end of the woods, closer to the actual campus grounds, the blonde reached out to take the older girl's hand, giving it a little squeeze. She didn't speak, nor even move to make eye contact. It was just one of the simple affectionate gestures that she always ended up offering, without even thinking about doing it, and even despite knowing it was far from Quinn's usual scene.
