Vinnie/Casey

"Glad to hear it, my friend. You'll never see me disagree that eating is good. No chips for me, thanks. But... wait. You had a soda? Do you not drink?" It wasn't an accusation, not by a long shot. Vinnie just didn't remember Casey having anything against drinking.

Though maybe he did. So Vinnie asked him that with mere curiosity. As if he didn't drink by choice, that was cool with him. But if he DID, and Casey wanted to, Vinnie would definitely have to go and get a drink for his friend.

Vinnie/Casey

Casey blinked and his jaw paused in mid-chew as he munched on the rest of the chips he pulled out when Vinnie declined to take any. He hadn't really even thought of having something alcoholic himself. It had been a matter of just going with what he was familiar with.

After a moment, he shrugged. "I've had wine a couple of times with fancy family dinners and that. I just, I dunno. Didn't think of it?" Okay. That sounded lame.

Vinnie/Casey

Well. This was an opportunity to have a lot of fun. Vinnie was no stranger to drinking, and he knew his way around a bar fairly well. So he put an arm around the younger boy's shoulders in a friendly way and smiled warmly.

"Well I tell you what, amico. If you would like, I would be happy to make you a drink and consider you my drinking buddy for the night. We can play my favorite drinking game for parties too, if you feel up to it." Vinnie made no move toward the table with the alcohol yet, waiting for Casey's response.

Vinnie/Casey

The first question he wanted to ask was how much drinking that entailed. The second question that came forward was what the drinking game was exactly. Casey bit down a little on his lower lip as he glanced sidelong at his friend, clearly thinking it over.

"Yea, I'm up to it." It would probably be the last large sober decision he made for the night. Casey figured if he was at a party, which was new, he might as well have a little more fun. There was a reason people drank so much after all and curiosity was going to kill this cat if he didn't find out at least once in his life.

Vinnie/Casey

The smile on Vinnie's face widened into a broad grin. He couldn't contain himself. Having been in the same position a coupe summers before, and being brought into the world of alcohol by his cousins in Italy, Vinnie knew all too well what this felt like, so he swore to himself that he would break Casey in gently.

"Bellissimo! I'll get you set up and then we can start the game. It's rather easy to play. I usually like to play it at parties because it's easier to do." He walked over to the makeshift bar with Casey in tow and started to mix up a drink for him. It ended up being something like a Long Island Iced Tea though Vinnie couldn't exactly remember the right proportions.
