"It really was," she said with a nostalgic smile. "It was... liberating, you know? And Ella was fantastic," she grinned. "It was a lot of fun. Maybe I could... you know... teach you some stuff sometime, if you want," she smiled warmly.

"He was really sweet, it was nice to talk to him about Milo and try to figure things out with whatever attacked him," she got a goofy little smile on her face just thinking about him.

However when the conversation moved back over to her embarrassing situation her face turned red. "Like... incredibly embarrassing and really, really stupid." She hid her face behind her hands. "I... uh... I had sex with Sim Buford on New Years Eve. We were both wasted and it was really, really stupid." She peeked out from behind her fingers to see Sera's reaction. "I didn't mean too," she said a pained look on her face.

The brunette grinned back happily, "I'd like that. That sounds like a lot of fun." She continued to smile. Sera always loved to dance but didn't have much if any formal training. She'd seen plenty of ballet and contemporary performances with her mother though. It would awesome to learn a few things.

Sera looked at Meka more seriously. "Did you ever find out what happened?" Sera asked, "Do you know what attacked him." She asked further feeling pretty bad. She'd been so been spending so much time with Jenny lately. "I'm really sorry too." She smiled, showing she meant it. "I haven't really been here for you to talk to like at all lately." She frowned slightly.

"You did what?" Sera expression changed completely. She tried to act serious but was a little more than surprised. She processed what Meka told her. "That's not that stupid." Sera smiled, trying to be reassuring. From what Sera knew of him he didn't seem like the nicest guy around, but Meka seemed a little upset. She didn't want to make her feel worse.

"He's .. He's pretty cute at least?" Sera joked, hoping it wasn't too inappropriate for the situation. She looked back over at her roommate more seriously. "Did you umm.. were you careful?" She couldn't help but feel a little awkward.

Meka nodded. "Call it a date," she grinned. She was starting to like the idea of sharing dancing with another her friends.

She tilted her head from side to side. "There are a couple theories out there," she said unsure. "It could have been that thing that attacked Leon or it could have been a person. The way that he was attacked makes me think it was more likely that a monster did it." She looked at her friends warmly. "It's okay, we made it through."

She nodded slightly. "Yeah, he's pretty cute," she admitted "But... I didn't want it to be that way, you know?"

Oh god, the embarrassment only got worse... She shook her head no, feeling the shame in her face. "I know, I know, it was so stupid. We should have been careful but if I had been thinking more clearly, I would have said no in the first place. I went to the clinic you know... the next morning by myself," she said.

Sera stood up from her spot on the floor and walked over to Meka's bed, taking a seat beside her friend. "That's awful." Sera replied, "I hope they catch that thing soon, whatever it is." She had been pretty worried lately after everything that had been happening around school, although she'd be lying is she said part of her didn't think Leon deserved it. As terrible as she knew it was to think that. "I'm really glad Milo's alright though." No matter how much Meka said it was okay Sera still felt bad about not being there for her.

"Yeah." Sera replied, not really sure what else to say. She did know what Meka meant, but she didn't really know. "I know what you mean." She finally decided on. "Have you talked to him since then?" She added quickly.

"It's not stupid. Well maybe a little but it's okay" Sera giggled alittle, putting a hand on Meka's shoulder trying to comfort her, feeling bad again for not being there. It wasn't like Meka was the first girl in the world to make that mistake. "I'm glad you went to the clinic then. I just wish you would have told me, if I knew I would have went with you." She added smiling over at her roommate.

She smiled warmly. "Yeah, I heard they caught something during those hunts. It might have been it," she said nodded. "I'm just glad he's okay too."

"I talk to him last night... at the dance. It was effectively awkward but he apologized and so did I," she explained. "We had been doing a really good job of avoiding each other until then."

Meka felt better about that and rested her head on her friend's shoulder for a moment. "I shouldn't have tried to keep it a secret," she said. "I really think I would have been better off with you there."

"Oh really?" Sera said kind of surprised. "I didn't know they actually caught anything." She added kind of relieved. "I hope that was it too."

She leaned back a little still sitting on Meka's bed. "I can imagine that must of been pretty awkward." Sera grinned looking over at her friend. "What did he say? That was pretty nice of him to apologize."

She leaned her head towards Meka's rested on her shoulder. "I know, no worries. Sometimes it just seems easier to keep a secret." She looked down and smiled. "Just remember I'm always here, like embarrassing, stupid, no matter what, I'm always here." She grinned, laughing a little before she spoke again, finally adding. "I don't think I could have went there by myself."

"Yeah, they caught one of the cloak looking things apparently," she said. "And they saw another creature! It was like a horse or something. Sim told me about that, he chased it through the woods but they didn't catch it."

She shrugged a little, her cheeks still red. "He was perfectly nice, a little awkward too. I told him I still had his sweater and I had washed it, he was just surprised I hadn't cut it to tiny pieces," he grinned. "I think he was expecting me to be a bitch to him. I think he was embarrassed too."

It was a comfort to finally be able to talk to one of her closest friends so openly. It made her realize that maybe she should stop keeping so many secrets. "I was so ashamed of myself, I couldn't bring myself to tell anyone for a while," she admitted. "It was mildly terrifying going by myself."

"The same for you. If you ever need me for anything, okay?"

Sera looked over, "Did he say if they think the cloak thing is what attacked Leon? And they don't know what the horse thing was? Did any teachers see it?" Sera asked, realizing she might be rambling. She took a deep breath, "Jenny told me she asked Charlie and all he saw was a possum, I didn't really hear much about the other groups."

"That's good he was nice to you, kinda funny though, from what I've seen of him, he doesn't really seem like the embarrassed type." Sera grinned, noticing Meka's cheeks were still a little blushed. "Why did he think you'd be a bitch?" She added, scrunching her nose a little when she asked the question.

She nodded her head slightly looking sympathetically over at Meka. "I can imagine." Sera sighed, "I know I would have been terrified." She admitted in return, offering another friendly smile. If it was anyone else she probably would have taken this opportunity to bad mouth drinking, but she had always tried not to lecture Meka too much.

"Okay." Sera grinned, nodding her head once again. Pausing for a second, she continued, "Thanks that really does mean a lot."

"Yeah, the cloak thing was the same thing that attacked Leon, apparently it's vicious," she said her eyes a little wide. "Sim said that he was with Professor Langley when they saw it and they all chased it through the woods. That was all I heard though, they couldn't quite place what the horse thing was though," she explained.

"That's what I thought," she nodded. "He's kind of... loud and unashamed, right?" she laughed a little. "I guess anyone would be embarrassed to have sex with a geek though," she mumbled. "I think he usually hooks up with bitches, not Mekas," she shrugged with a little laugh. "Ugh," she groaned and then laughed again. "I don't know anymore Sera."

She smiled genuinely at her friend. "It means a lot to me too," she said honestly. She wished, not for the first time, that she hadn't been so silly about the whole thing.
