"America couldn't survive it," she said plainly. Then she shrugged because she didn't have any ideas on how to fix that situation, besides moving away. "I'm glad your family is okay."
"I've promised to send some people postcards," she replied. "I'll have to get your address before I go." Then she smiled shyly. "I think they go to fancy dinners under the guise of sharing cultural information. In the last century they were usually spies." Then she laughed. "I can't picture myself doing spy work."
She made a little sound of disgust. "There is more to life than quodpot." She played for Sonnier, but it wasn't her main interest. "I'd go to college if I thought it would help me along with my immediate goals, but I honestly don't think it will. I'll go eventually to further my education, but it won't be for awhile. Do you have plans yet? I imagine it's not easy with the little guy."
