As she thought it over quickly, she realized that at least one faced of her surprise was in her assumption that he wouldn't have wanted to go to so formal an event. She knew that he would much rather be in converse and a t-shirt than a tux or anything with a tie.
Mostly though, it was that she had sort of blocked it out of her mind when the year before she had just about sworn off all dances. It just hadn't even occurred to her.
"Oh, no, no. I just... forgot about it, I guess? And I would love to go... if you wanted to, that is." She wanted to see Keegan in some kind of formal wear again. True formal attire, not his usual version of it. Not that he ever failed to look less than amazing in what he wore, but there was something about his looks that made her want to see him all dressed up for something again, like he had been for the snow ball. Not that she would ever make him (or try to). But he looked amazing that night...
