If Brian had continued to look at her, which perhaps it was lucky for him that he didn't, he would have seen the predatory smile that spread across Quinn's face. She had to admit she liked the sound of fear.
"Watching," Quinn couldn't help but lean in just a little bit more towards him, her eyes glancing out towards the floor. "What could possibly be that interesting that you'd just end up standing here watching?" It was probably a girl. With these types, it usually was.
He didn't think 'no reason' was entirely accurate, but he didn't voice that opinion. Instead he shifted the flowers in his hands, and watched Quinn carefully.
"H-he s-stayed b-uh-b-behind." He ground out with a great deal of frustration. Sometimes he had to wonder why he put himself through these things himself.
Her eyes shifted down to the flowers and she smirked. The boy looked like a fool standing there clutching onto that bundle for dear life.
"And where did he go if he was staying b-b-behind?" Quinn mocked lightly as her eyes went back to Brian's face. "I need to find him." The tone in her voice made it quite clear she was not going away until she was told where Alex was. Naturally, she wasn't below using some fort of force if necessary.
Quinn looked at the younger boy for a moment, as if she was studying him. She was, in a way. She was trying to recall something - anything - her brother may have said about him. Wasn't he some sort of sociophobe or germ freak or something?
Well, there was one way to find out.
Neither one liked to be touched, so she naturally stepped in closer where he had backed up, and poked the boy's shoulder with her finger. "Tell me where my brother is, Brian."
Brian jerked, mouth gaping open as he stared at her. She touched him! How- how could she do that? Didn't she know about personal space? And illness? And...and...people could die from not washing their hands in the bathroom, letting bacteria grow on their skin that then became flesh eating!
It was horrid.
What if she hadn't washed her hands?
Shuttered, Brian let the vase slip from his fingers as he stepped away. "H-h-h-he isn't here. He-he-he is with Yev."
She almost snickered at the look on Brian's face after she poked him. It was amusing and made her thing that she was right about the germ thing. What kept her from smiling was the annoyance that he still didn't cough up Alex's whereabouts.
Quinn sighed, leaving her hand up in case she needed to poke him again. Or something. "You're going to have to give me a better answer than that. Where will I find Alex?" She asked again, looking a little irritated.
He stared at her hand, heart starting to race as he felt a keen since of panic begin to build. Where was Erica? Or Ben? Why was he at this party? His feet was wet from the vase, and the shifting of shattered glass made him look down.
He'd made a mess, everything was wrong.
Why was all of this happening? The panic was starting to build faster as he looked down at the glass and lifted his right foot out of the mess.
"I-i-i, he-he-he, I-i-i.." was all he could get out, even as his hands started to shake a little.
