Turning, he scanned the crowed again, before he hand came up to the bow tie. "T-thanks. I-I-I-I l-like bow ties."

"Yeah," she looked over her shoulder at him again and smiled. "He's really great," she said nodding.

Holding her hands behind her back, she swayed a little from side to side. "They're nice," she smiled. "I don't really ever see anyone else wearing them. It's unique!" she beamed at him.

"If y-you say so," Brian chimed in, looking at her side long with his head tilted just enough to make his whole body little a bit off kilter.

"People think they are hard, b-but if you just have to p-pay attention." Yep, well. If nothing else, at least he was getting his words out a little easier.

"He's just quiet," she said, pouting a little, looking over at him again. Then she snapped out of it and looked at Brian with a big smile.

"That's awesome," she smiled. "I'm pretty impressed that you tie them all by yourself. Most boys can't even tie a regular tie by themselves," she smiled.

"Hey! do you have any plans for vacation yet? I'm having a cinco de mayo party at my house," she said. "If you wanted to come it would be great."

Was she really saying that like he didn't know what Ben was like? Sure, they didn't really talk, but who could talk over violin practice?

"Y-yeah. I like them, best. Very symmetrical." Which was exactly what made them so appealing. Turning he licked his lips as he watched the crowd dance, not really paying attention when she asked him about the fifth.

"No. I don't have plans," but then she caught him off guard. Was she really asking him to go to a party? Why would she do that? "Uh....s-s-sure?"

"Oh yeah," she said smiling. "Perfectly symmetrical."

"Cool. It should be a lot of fun and I live right on the beach so we can actually go swimming and stuff." Not to mention the Redd family did look like they could use a little sun. "It'll be nice to just let loose, you know?"

Brian didn't really think he was in need of sun, but she wasn't asking him that. He only nodded a bit before shaking his head vigorously.

"D-d-do you know h-h-how trash is on a b-beach? A-and t-the fish p-p-p-poop in water. Very unsanitary." No way was he getting into untreated sea water.

"Oh no, there is not trash on our beach, it's private property," she nodded. "Only my dad is ever on it and he doesn't pollute," she beamed at him.

"There is nothing I can do about the fish though," she frowned momentarily. "We have a pool though!"

She might have thought it was clean, but how could anyone really know? You had to do tons and testing and research to find all the germs and illnesses that lurked in sand!

"Um, o-o-okay." He said, blinking as he rubbed his nose. "I-I-I'll go." Since she really seemed to really want him to. As weird as that was. "I-Is F-F-F-F-rankie going?"

"Cool," she nodded again. "I promise it'll be a lot of fun," she bounced.

"Oh, um, I'm not sure. I can ask though, she's in my house!" she said brightly. She almost asked him if that was who the flowers were for but stopped herself.

"Are you having a good time tonight?" she asked after a few moments of silence.

"Yeah...sure." What else could he say? Well, maybe he could ask if she minded his friends coming, but that was whatever. He could ask her later.

"Um, y-y-you should ask her." He agreed, though, about getting Frankie to the party. He didn't know if she'd go, though. But it was worth a shot, right?

"Y-y-yup. Um, I...I s-should go." He decided though, feeling that there was only so much he and Meka could really talk about. And he thought he saw Frankie sneak in...
