Keegan had left his girlfriend to meander around a little bit himself, letting her find and chat with her friends while he did the same. He'd bumped into a few and after a while, just grabbed himself a drink and stood off to the side.

His eyes caught Sam as he approached, and Keegan greeted him with a smile. "Hey buddy," he answered after a sip. "So far so good. You?"

"Been pretty great man," he beamed at his friend. "It's been a few crazy weeks," he said running a hand through his hair.

"Got any time to play soon?" he asked. "I've been studying way too much lately," he laughed.

"Yep," Keegan said in a way that wasn't nearly as excited as Sam, and he turned his eyes out to the floor in the direction Sam had come. Ginger was probably in that direction. "I've noticed."

He brightened at the question, though. How could he not? "I have plenty of time to play! But the weekend of May first is out. Any other time, all you got to do is let me know."

"Oh yeah," Sam said with a little laugh, though Keegan didn't seem to enthused. "Still pretty new," he said, pointing back to Ginger. "She's sweet."

"Definitely! We should jam sometime this week in between studying. Oh yeah, I heard there was a party in Hawaii or something for Cinco de Mayo. Kinda perfect," he grinned.

"She's sweet when she's not around certain friends of hers," Keegan answered without much of any forethought. Though, there were times when she hadn't been sweet and her friends weren't around to blame it on.

Keegan smiled. "Absolutely. It's not like I study much, anyway, so... And yes, Meka's having a party over break." His smile grew wider. "I'll be helping with it. It'll be a good way to end the break."

He nodded solemnly, he had sort of been off in his own world the past few weeks. "Yeah," he said vaguely. He wasn't sure what to say, he had never seen that side of her.

"Right?" he asked brightening right up. "We're going to be playing more than we study next week," he grinned. "Oh nice, if you're helping out it's definitely going to be bad ass."

Keegan was more than happy to move completely onto the better topic. "Damn right we will. I got some pretty cool melodies waiting to be used up here," he tapped his temple with a finger, "So we got to get on that before I forget them."

There was a slow nod on the topic of the party. "Of course it will. I assume you're going to be there?"

"Oh nice! I was running through some drum lines the other day and wanted to throw them your way. We should be able to throw something together," he said brightly, getting excited for this jam session to be had. "I even tried my hand at lyrics this time around, I'll have to get them to you and see what you think."

"Hopefully," he smiled. "Who could pass up a beach party in Hawaii?" he grinned. "I'll my acoustic for good measure, make sure we do the Mexican hat dance," he joked.

He shrugged a little bit, glancing back out to the floor for a moment. "I'm sure they're fine. I'm not the most lyrical of people most of the time. Words actually take a lot of effort for me. The music? Not so much." Keegan was getting a little amped up for the jam session as well. Screw studying.

Keegan laughed and shook his head slightly. "I'll make sure to be nowhere in sight when you do that. No one wants to see my drunk ass dancing any sort of dance."
