Crescent City Institute - Sadie Hawkins Dance!

Erica didn't like to get anywhere early except for bed and the field. Dances were the worst for arriving early, when no one was there yet and there were just those few awkward couples milling around. She didn't want any part in all of that. She took her time choosing her dress for the evening and fixing her hair.

When she entered the room, hanging closely onto Stas by his arm as they walked in, the dark-haired girl was smiling widely. Everything was already in full swing, and the dance floor was crowded, although she didn't feel like dancing just yet.

She took her cursory glance around to see if she spotted any of her friends, maybe even her brothers, someone had texted her earlier and said they had seen them. That was a sight almost rarest to have to see, although she mostly hoped no one was messing with Brian. She really didn't want to have to mess up her night by getting into a fight or something.

She rarely went to two dances with the same date, but it had been some time since she had last seen Stas, and the news of his break-up with Sunny was just too good to resist. There was nothing wrong with a little rebound. She gave Stas' arm a little squeeze. "Do you wanna get a drink or something?" she asked him eventually, as if suddenly realizing he was still there. She had been off in her own world wondering about Brian. Did he remember to bring his own cups tonight? It was weird, sure, but better than the alternative to him having have to use a public cup.
