Star City after school
The second she got out of school, Mia made her way to the youth center where she'd been volunteering at. While she always enjoyed going and spending time with the kids, today she was looking forward to it just a bit more than usual.

Today, Conner was flying after he got done with school for the day to help out.

She was enjoying spending time with him. He was a lot of fun, and he was a nice guy. It was a nice bonus that he was cute too.

When Mia got to the youth center, she waited outside for Conner.

	"Hey, Jenny! Nice to meet you." Conner says, shaking her hand. Jenny wasn't his type at all, but she seemed nice enough. Kelly seemed slightly annoyed that her Conner-Time was being interrupted. "It's your turn, Conner." she says. Conner takes his turn. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jenny shakes Conner's hand and then proceeds to find a seat and sit down with him and Kelly. She, of course, sits on the side of the table closest to Conner without actually sitting next to him. "So, Conner, what school do you go to? How do you know Mia?" she asks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Conner-hog!" Kelly says to Jenny.

Conner then seems to catch onto the fact that the ladies are fighting over him. He's never had that happen before. It's a little weird.

"Ladies, I'm sorry, but I'm already spoken for." he says simply.

Jenny and Kelly's expressions both fall a little bit and everyone is silent a moment.

Conner takes his next turn and tries to ignore the silence.

	"It's okay, Conner. A girl can dream, can't she?" Jenny says with a smile. "Of course, the Jordan/Mia lovefest has been going on awhile." he whispers. "He asked her to a dance at his school a couple of weeks ago, but she said she had somewhere to be. They hung out last week, though." she whispers. "Oh." 	"Awesome. I can't wait." Conner says with a smile. Then an odd look crosses his face and he tilts his head to the side as though he were trying to hear something. When Conner finally nails down the sound, he realizes that it's already too late. "Mia, get all the kids somewhere safe, now!" he says, standing up and grabbing his backpack. Conner waits until everyone is running and has their backs turn before dashing off and returning in his gear, which is much different from what Mia remembers it being.

Gone are the blue jeans and black 'S' t-shirt. Now, /everything/ is black, from the t-shirt, to the jeans to the black trench-coat that seems almost like a cape.

Superboy looks at the entrance to the Youth Center and braces himself for the attack.

John Corben, aka Metallo, smashes his way through the door of the building and looks at the assembled group.

"I'm looking for Jordan Carmichael. You stole something, you little punk, and Mr. Edge wants it back." Metallo says, as his gaze falls on Superboy and the white 'S' emblem on his chest.

"I didn't know they made Diet Superman. Step aside and I won't break you into a million pieces, chump." Corben taunts.

	"Jenny, watch the kids," Mia said, before running into a backroom, to change quickly into her costume and grab her bow. Moments later, an arrow would whiz by Metallo. 	Metallo looks in the direction of where the arrow came from and sees Speedy. He frowns. "What is this, Mini-Me night?" he says, looking at Speedy. "All right, you two are on my last nerve."
