New Year's
The beginning of a New Year, a time for new hopes, new experiences to come. A time to reflect on times past, remembering fond memories happily and trying to put less pleasant thoughts and experiences in the past.

It is a time of renewal, a time of rebirth. And for much of the world, it is a time of celebration. This is no less true for the super hero set as anyone else. If anything, they just have that much bigger of things to look forward to.

Jane was close to slipping and running into her room to change into the same dark clothes she had worn. She had a rifle and knew exactly where she could squat down to get the shot.

No one would be heart broken over this. No one would blame the rage that had festered in her gut like cold ice. She stopped right away and looked up.

"I... I'll be okay for a while." She should order a pizza. Food might calm her down.

"Okay. I'll be back as soon as I can. Maybe you can get us some dinner and then we can just relax when I'm back? Watch the countdown, maybe?" he suggests.

He knows that Jane would come with him if he suggested it, but she couldn't have this on her soul. Mia came across as a good person, and she brought out a warmer side of Jane. Something told Robert that Mia wouldn't want to see her friend start down a path like the one he'd been walking for years.

Moreover, the thing that he loved most about Jane was that she /wasn't/ a killer. She made him want to be a better man, even though he knew he never would.

Robert was more than willing and equipped to kill a man in cold blood, especially if that man was guilty.

"Okay, honey. I'll be back as soon as I can." Robert says, walking out the door.

As soon as he gets downstairs, he pulls his back out of the corner he'd hidden in earlier today. Jane would have know what he was up to if he'd left the house with it and she'd have either asked to go or tried to stop him, neither of which he wanted.

So, Robert Queen leaves the house, readying himself to make some magic.
