Battle At The End of Time
The YJLA and the Avengers had a busy week. They had been searching the globe for signs of Kang all week, but no trace of the time-traveling conqueror could be found. The people who attacked the YJLA seemed to have disappeared into thin air as well. It had been a quiet week for both teams. Little did they know it was the calm before the storm.

The two teams met at the YJLA headquarters for a brief meeting to go over the results of their searches and to lay plans for the upcoming days. Both teams were gathered in the conference room when there was a bright flash and they were all transported to a spot some distance away from Kang's Fortress at the End of Time.

It was time to fight what should be the final battle in this adventure.

Dex's first priority was keeping the shield up around Jon, which left him unable to do anything offensively against Doomsday. The only thing Dex could do was get the hell out of the way, which is exactly what he tried to do.

Doomsday's smash missed, but he did grab Dex's arm. Pain spiked through the green lantern as the shoulder was pulled from its socket. It was clearly dislocated at this point. Dex yelled in part pain and part anger.

	"DEX!" Rose increased the parameters on her on shield around Jon, extending it to keep Dex from getting hurt anymore. Unfortunately, this left her as an open target for Doomsday. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Doomsday smiles and lets his grip tighten. He's not letting go of this one.

All three things are happening at once. Hope and Svalin charge Doomsday while Rose extends her blue light around Dex. The beast avoids the concussive blast and pulls himself away from Svalin's blow. He pulls at Dex's arm, to have Svalin's blade strike Green Lantern's arm instead of Doomsday's.

Doomsday tossed Superboy at Hope to avoid a prolonged pain from the heat vision. He also kicked the Green Lantern, even while still holding the arm. The Blue Lantern's hand did grab the Green Lantern, but Doomsday's grip on that arm was not easy to loosen.

Svalin's sword gathered part of Doomsday's attention. Before she could succeed in her plan, he broke the sword with his free hand and attempted to grab and throw her into a wall.

	It took all he could do to concentrate over the pain in his arm, but somehow he managed to create a giant fist and pound Doomsday with it. Otherwise his arm was going to be ripped off. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jon lies, stunned for a few moments, trying to gather his wits and stop seeing double. Seeing Svalin getting her sword broken, and the others struggling, he pushes himself back to his feet and charges, flying low to the ground and trying to ram a shoulder into Doomsday's torso to drive him back and away from the others. Svalin was grabbed by the arm and thrown. Pain coursed through her arm and she figured it was fractured or broken. She collided with the wall of the fortress. Ribs cracked, possibly broke, from the impact and her head slammed against the hard rock. She slid to the ground and stayed there for a moment.

It hurt to breathe and her head was spinning. Her vision blurred a bit.

Svalin climbed to her knees and reached for her sword. Her fingers wrapped around the hilt and she brought it up to have her heart sink. Her sword was broken. Svalin closed her eyes. This had suddenly become more difficult, but she wasn't going to give up.

Slowly she climbed to her feet and the world started to spin faster. Her chest hurt, her arm hurt and her head hurt. Darkness lined the edges of her vision and she staggered a bit. The useless sword bit fell from her hand and she staggered forward. The fight was not over. She couldn't give up now.

One step. Two. Three. Her foot hit a rock and she tripped. She fell forward to her knees. “All-Father, grant me the strength for this fight,” she said quietly with her hands on the ground and her head bowed. She looked up toward the fight. Her vision blurred a bit and she swore she saw the handle of a weapon sticking out from a pile of rubble.

Svalin reached for it and pulled at it.

The weapon came free from the rocks and she pulled it to her.

Mjolnir.

Svalin blinked and then blinked again. She had lifted Mjolnir. It was in her hands and hers to wield.

She was worthy.

Svalin blinked back tears and climbed to her feet.

“Odin and Thor! This daughter of thine line asks for the strength for victory o'er her foes!” she yelled. Clouds gathered and thunder rumbled. Svalin started spinning Mjolnir and charged forward. Calling white hot lightning down on her foe.

For those nearby they may notice Svalin's uniform has changed.

	Superboy was tossed into Hope, and she went flying backward. Her entire body ached, and from the looks of it, her arm was possibly broken. She noticed the change in Svalin, but the pain shooting through her entire body was distracting her focus, as she struggled to get to her feet. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Seeing Svalin do... something... not sure what, but quite sure its rather impressive, Superboy tries to get her a clean attack by drawing Doomsday's attention. He's always been after Jon's family, after all - and the lanterns seem to be in trouble. Jon pours on the speed, heading directly at Doomsday, both fists extended in a head on charge. 	Doomsday let go of Dex from the combined assaults and got struck by the bolt of lightning. It was a heavy assault and put him down on the ground. But it wasn't over. He got up and charged Svalin. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	When Doomsday turns away from Jon to face Svalin, Jon takes the open shot, crashing both fists first into Doomsday's lower back, trying to drive the behemoth forward fast and hard into the oncoming hammer. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
