Break Out
Keith sat in his cell with restraints and a device on his neck that prevented him from using his sonic scream. They took all of his equipment and locked it away in a safe. His dad was on his way to visit him, which wasn't something Keith looked forward to. Killing the Artist quickly became Keith's biggest regret. He had screwed over not only himself, but his entire family. How was he supposed to make this up to them? He didn't know, and he was just about ready to give up on everything.

Robert screams in pain as the knife is pulled out, cursing a little, but once it's out, he feels much better. He hopes the damage isn't permanent.

"Jane...is so gonna kick my ass." Robert pants, chuckling a little.

"No doctors, man. We go near a hospital, we might as well kill ourselves, because the League will come after us. And they'll kill anyone in the way.

What did Damien want from you?" he asks.

"No one...would care if I died. Oliver...wouldn't care." he says, his words slurring.

"Never found out...what I did wrong, to him..." Robert says, as he feels consciousness fading.

Robert's delirium continues, but Keith's yelling is enough to snap him back to wakefulness for a moment.

"No need to yell, man. I was just...trying to catch a nap. We're gonna need to run. And to find another flight home. Drive back into the city.

I...know someone who could help." Robert says.

"Not quite a doc, but a friend I made once. How are we getting back to Star City?" he asks.

	Keith sighed in relief. That was an unpleasant event. His heart was still racing. "Jeez. You scared the hell out of me." He got the car started again and started driving. "Well... Robert chuckles. "What are you talkin' about man? I totally had her right where I wanted her. She was about to tell me her name.

Word of advice, Keith. When a woman is willing to chase you half way around the world to kill you, it means only one thing: she wants to sleep with you first." Robert jokes, trying to keep Keith from worrying.

They get up the stairs to the flat and to the door. Robert knocks and an Asian woman answers the door.

	Keith isn't sure he likes her tone, but she's Robert's mom. She wants to know what happened to her son, and Keith was going to tell her. "He was tricked by the League of Assassins. Morgaine. That little trollop was a rabid dog in the form of a female.

"The only reason that Slade's bastard and his rabid sister lives is because I haven't decided to address the issue. Perhaps I'll get around to it now." Shado says, boiling water and bringing towels.

She comes into the living room, brandishing a knife and slashes her way through his tunic. When she sees the stab wound, she takes two fingers and drives them into the deep wound.

Robert screams as he wakes up.

"Stop crying. This is no worse than the present I gave your for your twelfth birthday. You're getting soft." she says, wiping her hands.

"He will live, Keith. I'm going to treat his wound and let him sleep, and then you will ask me whatever questions you wish to ask.

I will decide whether or not to answer them." she says simply.

	Keith winces as Robert screams. The act itself, and the realization that that is what Robert had to deal with growing up did not make Keith feel very good about Robert's upbringing.
