Breaking News! (Open to reactions)
"We interrupt this regularly scheduled program to bring you this breaking news story.

Seismologists have monitored underwater seismic activity this morning in the North Atlantic moments before the domed city of Poseidonis broke the surface of the water. The Air Force sent out planes to do reconnaissance and reported back that the city seems deserted and mostly destroyed. The reports say that half the city is now rubble and no information on what could have caused such devastation.

The Atlantean Ambassador, Norstrud, was unavailable for comment. The US Ambassador to Atlants, Jonathan Welling, did not have much to say, but did mention that the Atlanteans would only surface the city under dire circumstances. Welling also mentioned that efforts to contact the Atlanteans are being made but have proved to be unsuccessful so far.

King Orin, known on the surface as Aquaman, has not been seen and his whereabouts are unknown.

The US military all along the Eastern seaboard are on high alert if this is a precursor to an Atlantean invasion.

	Ash heard the knock. The tears in her eyes and the shock on her face was still there. But she had to keep moving. So she went down to the front pf the base and checked the security before answering the door. "I take it the worst has happened," she says forgoing being nice and spoke in a flat tone. Heavy is the burden of ruling Atlantis. Heavy will your heart always be.

She had heard that once. Somewhere. She just did not remember where and suddenly felt very sad because it was true. She had never been very happy on this Earth. She had started to become happy only to have it crushed with the weight of so much death.

"I understand. I must leave a note for my team mates. I do not expect to return after this."

She motions for them to come inside while she writes the letter that she feels she must leave. She thanks them for being her friends while she was here.

She thanks them for being so kind. Then states that Atlantis needs her now more than ever and she has no idea if she will ever be able to come back.

Then she leaves the note and packs a bag.

"I'm as ready as I can be, Lady Maurita. Will you brief me on the situation as we travel? I wish to be able to get to work as soon as possible."

"Poseidonis is lost," she said bluntly. "Half of the city is destroyed and the survivors have retreated to Tritonis, where we are taking you. Queen Mera, Princess Caitria, Cerdian and Ataam rose from the grave and attacked. The people they killed fell and then rose to fight on their side. Princess Cait's boyfriend showed up and turned into one of them. The military fought, but all they were able to do was give the citizens time to flee through the tunnels. Most of Atlantis' military is gone and you and Lord Garth are all that remain of the royal family."

That struck a distant memory within her. She doesn't know why but it sounds like one of the stories her father said he would tell her when she was older.

"I see." Ty was lost to them. He was very dangerous and she had not truly understood that. "Then it seems our honored dead will be turned against us. I don't know what we will do about that but we must prepare for the worst. This will not get any better for us."

She nods slowly. "Let us depart."
