Voices in my head
"Will you all please be quiet so that I can read, please?" Sindella said, grabbing a hold of her head, massaging her temples.

Ever since Superman's death, they had gotten louder. The dead. Over the years, Sindella had grown used to "hearing voices" in her head. She was normally pretty good at tuning them out when she wanted to, too. But lately...she was having a harder time with it.

"My wife...I never got to tell my wife how much she really meant to me. Do you think she knows that I love her?"

"We never found my son's teddy bear...he won't be able to sleep without it. Oh he must be so scared..."

"Please. Please stop!" Sindella's hands covered her ears, though she knew it wouldn't help much. "I can't think!"

There was still the roar of voices.

And then..suddenly it stopped.

Though something didn't feel quite right about it.

Sindella reached out for the one voice that she always knew that she could rely on.

"Grandpa John? Are you there? Can we talk?"

Nothing.

"Anyone? Hello?"

Something was wrong. She could feel it.

	Zachary Zatara has seen a lot. Part of the family business. Even he is stopped in his tracks for a moment though. (LOVE) " " His lips move, but the sound doesn't come just yet. 	The second blast tore through Zatara moments after the hellfire, causing him to take a few moments longer to reassemble. Strange, however. 	Another volley of fire engulfs the two. "Sindella, Craft... RUN." Zach pants heavily, the hellfire already taking a toll. "Citcra sdniw, ezies eht daednu!" 	It took a considerable amount to actually surprise Victoria. Zachary deciding that an avalanche was the solution to their problems, however, was one of them. 	"Wons ssap revo su!" Zach shouts with less than a moment to spare, and the snow abruptly arcs over himself and Victoria. The ground still shakes beneath them and they have to struggle to keep their footing, but for the most part, they are safe. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Victoria continued to drag Zachary along, until they had passed the gates. There, the environment was instantly different. Tropical, almost, rather than icy cold. 	Something occurred to Zach, even in his rage and loss-fueled fervor. Someone had just referred to Craft as 'Vicky' without being corrected. He'd known her for a few years now and still couldn't avoid that. "Well isn't this cozy?" He remarks, before getting to business. "Brand, have you been outside lately?"
