The Quest for Orange
After they were done checking on Rose's grandmother and brother and dealing with the Black Lanters, Rose and Dex regrouped with the other lanterns. Then it was time to go after that bastard Larfleeze. Dex had wanted another shot at him since Christmas when the bastard was at the North Pole.

The trip to Okaara where Larfleeze was rumored to be holed up was quiet. The uneasy truce between the colors didn't encourage talking. The less words said the better. It only took a few to start a fight and right now it was the last thing they needed.

"Anyone got any ideas?" Dex asked as they approached Okaara.

Onrragaur comes flying up the passage, leading with dragonfire, a few arrows sticking shallowly through scales, violet blasts pinging off of the orange radius around him, weakening them enough that his scales deflect it further.

"Larfleeze said Larfleeze was not here!

Larfleeze had offered a reward for the head of the present-stealer, bonus if it was all wrapped up in a neat little bow. The rest are just bonus.

Onrragaur, in turn, is always up for earning a reward.

Even without the ring, the dragon is a powerful creature, easily the equal of some of Earth's finest heroes. With a ring - all the combined efforts are countering him, but only just, fighting back - slashing at griffons, tearing at ropes, filling the air with orange sparkles and magical dragonfire.

Helped, of course, by the fact that this is the Orange Lanterns' home. More and more of their miscellaneous members are coming out of hiding to aid in the assault - even if they're far less coordinated than the heroes.

The rest of the Corps finally begin to reveal their plan. Some were obvious, others less so, none so much as he dragon.

However, the initial assault and distraction allowed them to begin to surround the small group.

Their 'orange light' may not eat the griffons or the blue shields, but they're not totally ineffective either - still power blasts.

The bigger problem is that in attacking the home of the orange lanterns, the group is outnumbered more than ten to one - and one of the 'ten' side is a dragon. They're also right near the lantern that gives the corps their power, the travelers far from home.

For the moment, the small group is holding their own with their superior tactics, but that can only last so long.

They'd best hope the group fighting Larfleeze comes up with something creative.
