Doctor's Orders
With the whole world going to Hell Kyle hadn't really had time to react to or deal with it. He was to busy working to save lives working in the emergency room. He hadn't given himself a break since he started his shift and he was now in overtime.

In a couple hours he probably would have to let himself crash. He wouldn't be of any help to anyone if he didn't and likely to make stupid mistakes that could have otherwise been avoided.

He was going around making his rounds and checking up on old patients before he started up on new ones again.

	The old lady went flying, but started to get up as soon as she landed. The others didn't need any encouragement to follow Kyle. They chased after him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Kyle wasn’t exactly looking where he was going he was just trying to lead them away from people.

He eventually found himself in surgery when he realized he needed a better plan than this. Hiding might be able to buy him some time so he tried the doors finding them locked till he got one that he could use his keep card to open.

Fumbling with he moved to open the door only to drop the card.

	Not Good, he thought to himself as he quickly picked up the key and used it to open the door and slam it shut behind him waiting to hear the lock click before he moved away from the door at the same time looking around the room he found himself if for something to defend himself with. 	Kyle wasn't particularly sure how long the door would last under that pounding and he couldn't really see another was out of the room. But he did notice an experimental laser they were using for treatment that he might be able to use especially if he up the power of the beam. Which he was fairly confident he could do. 	Kyle fired the laser at the black lanterns coming through the door. Kyle had somehow managed to get just the right frequency so that it would scare the black rings even if it wouldn't destroy them. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	No good, Kyle thought to himself but there wasn't much of a back up plan. So he tried aiming the white laser beam at different parts of the Black Lanterns eventually accidentally hitting one of the rings. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The laser hit the ring and heated it up, but it didn't destroy it. The other two lanterns advanced on Kyle. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Kyle kept at it with the laser there really wasn't much more he could do but pray for a miracle. With everything going on he didn't notice the laser machine starting to seriously heat up. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	This was not going good but at least hopeful he gave people sometime to escape with his little distraction. It was around this time the heat build up had reached critical level and the laser exploded in a brilliant explosion of white light. Kyle eyes felt like they were burning as he was knocked flying backwards into a wall hard and then everything faded to black. (Reply to this)(Parent)
