When it rains, it pours. (Morgaine & Jane)
Merlyn falls from two stories up, slamming through the glass skylight and landing in the pool of the youth center below and has the presence of mind to thank whatever deity rules over this part of the world that it wasn't concrete he slammed into. Granted, with the number of crazy people chasing him right now, he didn't have a lot to be thankful for, but being alive was one blessing he would count over and over again.

He climbs out of the water as quickly as he can, ignoring the sting of his cuts and bruises. One week ago, he'd left Coast City, going on the run after confessing to anyone who would listen that he, and not Green Arrow, murdered the psychopath known as the Artist. Robert didn't care if they wanted him to pay for killing a murderer; laws and courts didn't really appeal or apply to him. The only justice he needed came at the end of an arrow.

Unfortunately, he'd run into another psychopath, two days later, that believed in the same things he did. Only, this psychopath wanted /him/ dead at the end of her sword.

It was rather ironic that his adopted brother's sister was the woman trying to kill him, because Robert killed her father. But even more irksome is that, after nine months of alternately fighting and escaping this particular woman....Robert Queen /still/ does not know her name He suggested to her that she was playing hard to get.

She tried to throw her dagger through his heart.

Funny. That line worked on Jane, once...

Jane stepped forward again. Not wanting to get too close to Robert just yet. But signs of death seem to cling to her. She has killed others. Their blood is on her hand caked on thick.

"Aw But hon. It's a family moment. It's important. Ra's just wishes to bring his family together. Next stop is that brother of hers. One big happy family, I suppose. A pack of filthy murderers."

An arrow whizzes past Robert's face as he questions Jane, barely avoiding taking his nose with it.

Merlyn looks in the direction the arrow came from and his face hardens.

"Worry less about the women and more about yourself, poser. You stole my name and got a lucky shot in after Slade and your mother set me up.

But that's okay. Sending Green Arrow your head in box will get the message across just fine." the first Merlyn says, nocking another arrow.

	"I didn't agree with much Ra's ever said, but that's true. Morgan, you just don't do have the guts to be the /best/ at what you do. You're always going to be working for someone else." 	And after nine months, Robert finally has an answer to one of his questions. He has no clue what the hell is going on here, but he's not going to wait around to find out. He fires at Merlyn, then at Ra's. He hopes that whatever he's doing to Jane will stop if he's dead. "Morgan! If you want to live, I suggest we work together starting /now/!" he yells. "Seriously, don't call me that. I just barely put up with the 'angel' bullshit. You know. Respecting your elders and all," she sneers.

"And you can't even see what's going on around you sweetheart. Let me spell it out for you. These two are dead. Now they're walking. I'm working with them, and I have a mortal wound through my chest." The expression on her face is angry and harsh.

"Doesn't that tell you part of the story, darling? Tell me what you think happened."

	"It's no use Ms Smith. They are rather dull witted," Ra's said with a disgusted twist of his lips. "Let us make them like us. In death they will understand. And perhaps my Granddaughter will prove herself worthy finally. Your daughter is weak, Merlyn. Do work on changing it." He moves forward suddenly with blinding speed to attack Morgaine. 	Robert knows he doesn't have much time, so he draws an arrow from his quiver and fires it in the direction of Ra's and Morgan. The arrow impacts on the ground between them and explodes into a burst of black smoke that spreads quickly. "Run!" he yells, heading back the way he came. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Morgaine took advantage of the smoke arrow, separating herself from her grandfather. She ran towards Robert. The arrow fired by her father, however, connected with her stomach. Morgaine dropped to the ground, clutching her side and crying out in pain. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Robert stops and turns around at Morgan's scream, seeing her drop to the floor.

For half of a very long minute, it occurs to Robert Queen that he can solve most of his current problems in one fell swoop. He could leave Morgan to die, the same way she did when she stabbed him and kicked him off a bridge nine months ago. He could let her bleed to death like he would have if Keith hadn't been there when she stabbed him.

All he has to do is make sure she can't outrun their pursuers. He lifts his bow and reaches back, seeking another arrow.

It would be so easy to leave her to die...

"Morgan! Start crawling towards me, now!" Robert yells.

He waits until she's out of range, but Robert uses his last C-4 arrow to demolish that entrance to the building. Then he collapses his bow and runs over to Morgan, doing his best to help her up.

"I'm going to get that arrow out once we're safe, but you can't try to kill me while I do it. Deal?"

Robert can't be gentle and firm with Morgan, so he has to settle for being firm in order to keep her moving. This would be easier if he could just pick her up, but carrying her will both injure her further and keep him from defending both of them.

"Morgan, those three are going to be after us shortly. I suspect you had a plan for killing me, so you made sure to get to know this city as best you could.

We need whatever safehouses the League has here. Tell me where to go." Robert says.
