	Pippi blinks. Then she blinks a little more. She spends a few moments trying to do some mental math. Finally, she answers, "Ok, that doesn't even make sense. 	That stops Mitzi cold. Pippi was offering her the chance of a lifetime, to go to college. No one in Mitzi's family had gone to college. Annie always lamented that fact over several alcohol-soaked evenings at the dinner table. Now she had the chance to do that. "Really, Pippi? I mean...yes! I really want to, more than anything." They wanted to know if I was going to school... when I said I wanted to go to beauty school, they asked if I knew anyone who wanted to go, or they'd offer it in a contest or something. I told them I'd ask you. Uhm... so I'll tell them, and we can get it all worked up. They're really good at these things. I bet Dinah and Irey would help with your homework too!"

The idea of a new swimsuit makes Mitzi wince a little.

"Um, I'm too skinny for a swimsuit, really. Besides, I'm not a great swimmer or anything. I'd rather sit inside with iced tea and the TV. And since I'm graduating this year, I'm going to take the first few days of the summer to just be a vegetable." she says.
