The Seas of Chaos
Koryak stood near the new shoreline of Atlantis and looked out across the water. He was tired, they all were, but the rebuilding of Atlantis was coming along at a pace no one had expected. The Atlanteans were a resourceful people and rebuilding their homes and city wasn't just rebuilding the physical, it was rebuilding their sense of identity.

Koryak had watched his father and Queen Mera work as hard as every other citizen when it came to doing things, if not harder. Koryak was right there beside them working to do as much as he could. There were a few missing faces, most notably Cait and Cerdian's. Koryak didn't blame them. He thought it was unfair that Arthur was trying to force them to marry. He was proud his sister stood up to their father and she left to do her own thing.

Koryak turned back toward the city.

The water behind him erupted into spray and figures emerged and came up on the island.

Koryak turned to face the invaders. "Raise the alarm!" he yelled before he was attacked.

The Sea Knights were the best fighters in Atlantis. They avoided the sharp claws and kept slashing with their swords. Like the Haliai, they came in at Snap in pairs. Striking quickly and then moving so others can strike.

'Fast little bastards. Maybe it's better not to play the speed game. Let them come to me.' And that's what Moray did. Instead of relying on his enhanced speed, he'd rely on his power. He wasn't quite in Snap's league in that department, but he wasn't too far from it. The way he figured, these Atlanteans were only a bit stronger than humans. In other words, when he stopped and they charged into range, he smirked, teeth glistening.

"Let the slaughter begin." As the Knights charged, Moray ceased with the claw and bite attacks. Instead he went for basic punches and backhands, putting all his inhuman strength into each blow.

Atlanteans were thrown back by the hits, but a few of their strikes landed. They wouldn't give up and climbed to their feet to attack again.

"The slaughter ends right there." Jon declared, coming to a hovering stop near Moray. "I've got this one, guys."

Moray takes a look up.

"Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me!? What, no meteors for you to hit!?"

"There was a shortage of meteors, I decided you'd do instead. Unless you'd rather just surrender now and save us both the trouble?"

Moray could rightfully be called a beast or an animal, but he wasn't dumb. Either get trashed by Superboy or face Luthor's vengeance...easy choice.

"Come and get it, kid." Moray inched toward the shore. If he could could Jon in the water, maybe he had a chance.

Jon's not about to play that game. He fires an intense blast of heat vision, not at the villain, where he can dodge, but into the water where he's headed, turning it into a boiling teapot amidst the tempest, trying to stop him in his tracks where he is and force a moment of hesitation.

"Son of a..! Damn it!" Atlantean warriors charge at him. Moray grins as he gets an idea. He grabs the spear of one, breaks it, and backhand the second. He picks up a man in each hand. "Hey alien, catch." he flings one Atlantean at Jon, and the other away from him. As he tosses the second, he makes to regroup with the others to get some much-needed backup.

Damnit! There's a reason that he told the Atlanteans to back off - and yet, somehow, there's always a hostage.

True to form, Jon catches the first, then takes off, snatching the second out of the air until he can drop them in the water before he tries to figure out where Moray ran off to.
