Workout Surprise
GK came up the steps from his tiny basement apartment into the little yardspace behind. He was in his workout clothes and carrying his stick. Sometimes, a guy just needed to run through his fencing forms, and there certainly wasn't enough room inside.
He unsheathed the sword from the stick and was just about ready to start when he looked up at the tree and froze.

	Eli follows him with a short jump, his wings stretching out to float him down. There really is no way, once he exits the tree, he could turn around and wait for GK to get into his arms. Once down on the ground, he fluffed his wings out, a few tiny feathers floating away, and then snapped them closed. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Zoe's your friend right?" he asks. GK's idea of needing to buy food is probably a lot different than Eli's idea of when he needs to buy food. Of course for a long while having a stable food source was tricky. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Yep. She's terrific; you should meet her sometime. Especially now that I've sabotaged her wardrobe and rid it of some of those drab shirts that don't bring out her coloring right." Pause. "I apologize in advance if she sizes you up to make sure you're not some kind of threat, though. She can be a little protective. She thinks I make bad decisions sometimes."
