Prelude for JLI
Max scowled at the reports. Phantoms, Vampires, Robots, Monsters. A veritable Saturday Morning Cartoon full of trochee-termed cliched freaks. And not a helpful hero in sight. So many of them didn't even take his calls these days. Almost made one want to go back into the business.

...It really did almost make one want to go back into the business. So many of the younger set seemed to get along with Cindy. Maybe they'd be more willing to be civil in order to deal with deal with problems like this.

"Sweetie? I need your Rolodex."
"Dad, I don't have a Rolodex. I have an iPhone."
"Same thing, sweetie."

And the messages start going out.

	"Rrraaaaghhhh." Ogre threw his arms up to cover himself, but the peppering of energy pulses was both aggravating and somewhat painful. When he got the chance, he grabbed something heavy and metal -- a car -- and tossed it at Avia. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Well, this was... bad. No time to maneuver out of the way... so go forward. Avia dismissed her aero-disks for a moment, and as the car was about to hit her, dropped, grabbed onto it, and swung forward, letting it keep going while she went in the other direction. 	Ogre smacked the car aside in mid-air and started to charge at Avia. He grunted and snarled at her, like a giant beast would normally do, and tried to clap his hands around her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
