Playing House.
GK loved having Eli over. He admittedly spoiled the guy a bit, what with the cooking and the massages and certain other things. And he tried not to seem too neurotic about putting Piglet back whenever Eli accidentally knocked him over, or reaching to sort the laundry a little differently than Eli was doing it.

And it was a lovely time, but eventually. "Eli? We need to talk."

Eli blinks.

Turning, he looks startled to see GK there.

"When did you get here?"

"I can't see him, Eli," GK says softly. "I don't know what the conversation is when I walk in on it. What were you talking about?"

He pulls his wings around him and curls up in a semi-fetal position. At least one where he's sitting. "He won't leave me alone!"

GK's hands press against the wings, reach for Eli's hands if they can, just try to establish a presence.

"I... I don't know how what to do," he admits, blinking back tears as best he can. "I don't know how to help. But I'm here and ...and I love you"

The feather's aren't that easy to part, they're not meant for it. They are partable eventually.

When GK manages to reach Eli's hands, he holds them tight, and just looks at Eli intently, trying not to cry. "Well, I'm here. And unlike some people, I'm real. I promise."

GK, with nothing to say to that, just swallows hard and looks down, still clutching. Eventually, he starts stammering out "Do you...If it's... if it's worse, I can..." His voice cracks.

GK looks horrified. "Ew! I'd make sure never to see kid-you before then!" He crosses his arms and rolls his eyes. "Fine. I'd either consign myself to a life of loneliness rereading Star Wars novels, or work my way to a better theatre where I could seduce all the actors. How's that for a better 'the guy I'm in love with is in a better timeline now' plan?"
