Break the cutie (Zach, Michael)
All Ash knew was this is something she had never done before. She had never seen a show of any kind that hadn't been televised on the surface world. So the idea of going to one of Zach's shows was something that appealed to her after she had given it some thought.

She didn't want to go by herself either. So after working herself up into a near panic she had asked Michael to go with her. She had been quite pleased when he had agreed to go with her. She had been afraid that she would end up going alone. They found themselves seated towards the front of the place and she gave a sheepish smile.

".... We fought monsters in Ciaro. Then we talked. I-I guess he thought m-m-.... mages should stick together," Ash said as she settled into her chair and watched the stage. "But it was nice of him. I've never actually gone to anything."

She'll just blame boys being dumb.

"I guess I overlooked that," she shrugged and nibbled at her food. "It's not like I'm sure about the protocol people use on the surface for things like betrothal. Back home it's easy. The guy seeks permission from your head of house to start dating, if he or she says no that's it. At least that's how it is with the nobility... it's less strict for people not in the main houses. You can fight a no more distinctly. It's why Cit and Ty are such a big deal. Cait ignored her head of House in favor of what her heart told her."

Oh good Lord. Well, Michael figures that's why there's an issue.

"Well, I don't know about the whole situation with Cait, but I know it's not the same all over the world. There are some places on the planet that do the same thing, or they do something similar where the head of household consents but it is still the person in questions choice. In the case of around here, it's always a matter of personal choice."

	"Um. Yeah. I'm not going to finish this. I never eat a whole lot at once." She smiles sheepishly. Then just wants the ground to eat her alive. This is so weird and she needed the buffer of someone else. She must be coming off as an idiot. Great. (Reply to this)(Parent)
