Michael had been happy to help out with a friend, be it a helping hand, an ear to listen, or sometimes just some fun. Ash was one of those gals who really needed more fun in her life, and if she wanted Michael around (for whatever reason that may be), then so be it. He may be an ass, but if his friends want him somewhere he'd be there for them unless there were sever extenuating circumstances.

So he waited for her to show up at the restaurant. He knew she was a vegetarian, so he made sure to find a place with a decent amount of vegetarian fare, a little mexican restaurant on the edge of Museum Row near the park.

Their third meeting? That was when she met him at the school to apologize for blasting him in the face. Is having the cute princess (that he now is sure he Friends Zoned the instant he met her) admitting her feelings having an affect on him? Yes. Well...fuck.

"God damn it, I'm dense," Michael says as he reaches forward, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Well, at the very least I owe you a night out for saving my ass there going for that long with it. I owe it to you."

"Well it's not like I was very open about it," Ash pointed out. "I was very... uncertain. There were cultural issues that have been since resolved."

Ash tensed up for a moment when he put his hand on her shoulder. Her nerves made her flight or fight mode still very active and Michael was lucky she hadn't just teloported away. She had thought of doing that for a second.

"She could have killed you," Ash pointed out as if that was the worst thing ever.

	"Oh!" Now it makes much more sense. But Ash is blanking out on things she'd like to do or try. "I'm not sure what I'd like to do actually." She bites her lower lip in thought. "What about going to the Guggenheim? I've never actually gone into a surface world museum before.... well. No. There was that time in Egypt but there were monsters eating security guards." It was very natural, maybe because now the realization was actually hitting him: Ash cared for him. Enough to put her life on the line to protect him. 	She blinks at him again. Then she smiles brightly and shuffles a bit in that way that one shifts when they don't know what to do. Then she magics up a card with a number on it. "Call me with a time you want to meet up. I'm not um...." Sure when they should. (Reply to this)(Parent)
